a fun one to just play around on is SSX on tour realllllly fake but still fun, kinda like a tony hawk game for skiing
 
SSX On Tour is unrealistic but it's wicked fun, i've been playing it since it came out and still haven't gotten bored of it.
 
i know a lot of you probably play SKATE, and ive heard the creators of skate our making a snowboard/ski game exactly like it.
 
SSX on tour so much fun. my friend and i played it for two days straight but then it got super boring. it was funny because they had all the twin tips in there like the seth and fujatives.
 
Amped 2 [not amped 3]....they need to make a version like amped 2 but with updated graphics for 360 and ps3.... a ski game off the same engine would be nice as well
 
You are a little confused on this. EA Sports..the company that made Skate is making a snowboard game. Shaun Whites Pro Snowboarding. It is built on the Assasins Creed engine (physics based motion and huge levels). And EA sports is making it, so I am sure part of the Skate team is involved..although most of the skate team is likely too busy working on Skate 2. I believe that Shaun White comes out in October/Novemberish.

EA are working on Skate 2 at the moment (official trailer nr. 2 just got online at gamespot a few days ago).

But it is Ubisoft that are making Shaun White Snowboarding, which is being released in November.

You are correct about the Assassin's Creed engine, and that game was by Ubisoft as well.

Gamespot.com and Ign.com both got videos and interviews from the new Shaun White game, and it just looks and sounds amazing.
 
Freak Out: Extreme Freeride by some Swedish company or something. Check it out on YouTube, it's pretty damn fun to play for a while. Scratches the itch a bit at least. Good luck finding a copy though! :/
 
poor control quality... well i should say i had it for ps3, maybe different on xbox.

you cant get off your board, pushing with square and triangle is awkward, poor graphic quality. But hey, first time out right?

the next one is supposed to fix that and make the controls more managable, and you can get off your board.
 
I agree about the graphics, and yeah in skate 2 its meant to improve on everything.

Xbox was easy, you pushed with A or X which are both right next to the R stick which you do you flip tricks with, its soo smooth.
 
I would have much rather seen the left stick used for pushing, and the bumpers for grabs... the less buttons the better. tony hawk still has it right for controls. and graphiss, and music, even if it is arcadey.
 
the not being able to get off your board sucks but the graphics werent bad, considering the size of levels and the ammount of motion necessary. the pushing and stuff were fine. and flicking with the stick is amazing except tre flips are damn near impossible. im on 360 though
 
all you have to do is hold down x to go..not tap it..it makes you have to let go of push to do a trick..just like real skating. I had it for PS3..my friend had it for Xbox..same controls..Best Game Ever
 
Yeah i really dont think EA would have time to make another game like SKATE when SKATE 2 is coming out in march. I wish they would though because i love SKATE
 
the only bad things about that game are how a 270 on is called a 360 on and a 450 on is called a 540 and so on. also, when you preload your spin, you need to steer with your chin on the analog stick.
 
PM Enlighter. He's making a dope game. Last summer there was tons of hype on the idea of it. He's in the middle of creating the game right now I think...
 
i didn't think that game looked that great. the jumps didn't at least. all it showed were a few frontflips, a choppy 360, and some weird looking shifties. the riding on the other hand looked dope.
 
As if SSX is an awesome game. It never gets old for me but i'm pretty shit at it haha.

When the snows bad a group of us always play it its sweet. Great game.
