I think that kid had bad style. Also, don't claim how old the kid is. Being a certain age doesn't create any limits as to how good you can be, let alone being 14.
 
wow. i was ready flaming for using that first song, but somebody was feelin pretty strong and ripped 2 songs. find your own music.

and work on style. all those tricks were decent, but instantly lost respect due to no speed and flailing. good nontehless
 
anyone else think that was the perfect example of kids not learning to actually ski before they hit the park?

i personally thought it was terrible, i had to stop watching early because first off you are little kids trying to act real cool by claiming for the camera and doing gay little jesters youve seen people do. no style at all, the tricks were pretty decent but you didnt ever take any speed into them and you flailed on everything
 
i say props kids. your obviously having fun and doing what you do. keep it up and you can only get better. theres no need to hate in this thread
 
this thread is a perfect example of how skiing shouldnt be, there shouldnt be hate like this...they're trying arent they?...give them that and stop hating cuz they dont rock the 6xl tall t and look badass, we were all there at some point
 
SteezetehPirate$ and sick-as-aids both make really good points, what is with all the hate? seriously? i know all these kids they ski at my local mountain and there always out there having so much fun i can just tell by the smiles on there faces every second of the day. This is the second year those kids have been skiing park and they are progressing so fast, since this edit i think they have doubled there bag of tricks. so stop the hate, get off NS forums and actually do something usefull with your lifes like maybe ski or something? DOPE EDIT BOYS, keep it up
 
Man I agree with stephC man, I can't believe that you would hate on these guys, man there trying as hard as they can and there probly having twice as much fun as you guys while doing it. I garanty, that at the pace there advancing (ive seen the other vid) they will be twice as good and have twice as much still as the guys that are hatin on them right now. KEEPITUP BOYS

You can't post a video on the internet and not expect critique. Hating? Yeah, but I hope I wasn't telling these kids what they didn't know. I stand by what I said. These kids have bad style.

agreed nice edit solid tricks

constructive criticism( not hate) - music not already used (song one - in jon brogan summer edit, 2nd in sean jordan superunknown), no need for the age claim whatsoever, lastly work on style

but all around nice editing to the musci and keep it up and it will come
 
definetley got some skills, just gotta work on your style.

you seam really stiff on the rails and uncomfortable when you ride up to the rail/box

hahaha, its fucking youtube and he made a thread for people to watch it, of course it is going to get a lot of views. besides, a lot of views doesnt mean the video content is good. have you ever looked at the bullshit on youtube...

im sorry, these kids still have terrible style no matter how much you try to defend that they are having fun. if they were just trying to have fun why is he posting it on ns in the forums claiming that he is only 14. it wasnt for fun it was so people would look at it and go, o wow you're only 14, ya! you kick ass! but fuck that it was subpar. decent tricks but they were all on tiny features with no style at all

shut the fuck up trying to defend someone on a basis of them "looking like they are having fun" when they post their video in the forums, there is a video section for a reason.

i remember when you could ask a question and get a legit answer, random kids wouldnt say "zomg, get this one its dope" answers would actually have reasoning behind them besides "twall rides it" or "the graphic is so sick" now i feel like when i look through gear talk i see random noobs giving terrible advice to other noobs who accept it because they dont know any better.

NS from the times of old is what really sparked my passion for skiing, before sure i loved to ski, but NS changed everything i knew, it educated me on equipment and culture and really changed the way i lived my life. Now that has all changed and with all the "searchbar noob" and bullshit answers and sarcasm that is incoherent without being active on the forums forever it turns noobs away from the site because they dont feel the love that we felt years ago.

I think they are good compared to how long they have been riding park, but I agree with some of the harder critique of this video. I mean if you upload a video of yourself on a forum with thousands of users, it is probably because they are in the need of attention, which is argueably why these kids copy the styles of others.

Dude haakon, clean up your grammar a bit.

Here's my 2 cents, the tricks are pretty decent and it's sweet you're having a good time, but like people said, throwing in the (14yrs old) claim makes it seem like you want people to see how good you are. It would be better to post it up and give some background "This is our second year of park skiing, maybe a little constructive c&c would be nice..." etc. But keep enjoying what you're doing and working at it. I'd say keep doing the same tricks so they don't looked as forced, and keep having fun.
 
man thanks for that c&c thats really what were looking for just like help and advice. For most of us this is really our first year freestyling so we just need to work at it.

You completely contradicted yourself here.

First you said hate isn't bad, and then you said that NS is ruined because people hate too much.

Please, stop hating so much. Sure they could've done without the claim, or the thread, but making a thread gets stuff out there faster than just having it in the vid section.

Constructive criticism is great, but some of what was in this thread was just unwarranted. There's no to hate on them. Sure I was watching and was thinking, wow, they need to work on their style, and the afterbang was way too forced (my constructive criticism) But who cares. Do you really need to hate? Why couldn't you just not post in the first place or say something constructive.

(Most of that was not only directed at you)
