What is the best vehicle for skiing when you live a ways away from your mountain. Truck/Car??? And what car or truck??? (HELP)

I would go with an SUV/ station wagon, trucks can have bad traction because the rear wheels don't have much weight over them.

Just got a 1999 Subaru outback to replace my Volvo, and i love the subaru so much. Snow tires and AWD is great for skiing, and i got mine in stick and its pretty fun

buy my 02 forester. $1800

selling it because I got an 06 as well and dont need two/out of the country for have the year as well and don't want it sitting at my parents. car drove 30k miles on cross country road trips this summer. I averaged 27-28 mpg.

upstate ny 518.

my best friend daily'd a pathfinder, a 2000 I think as well so it was a pretty cool suv. I can personally attest to the reliability of these shits apart from regular maintenance from having as much fun as we did, and it was a fucking ski hill rocket.

My dad has, so I have a 2005 f250 that's rebuilt with a bit of turbo work and I will say that it's probably the most safe thing to be driving apart from semis and shit. You do loose traction a fair amount which has been mentioned before, espesically if you're driving on legitimate mountain roads. If 4x4 works they go anywhere though.

and I have a miata as well, which I wouldn't reccomend because when I do start running it up and down the hill my friends are going to be carrying my things with their things in the passenger seat.

Definitely not a Scion TC... The "family car" struggle is real.

Excited to buy my own vehicle next year though.
