Well usually my family usually would go on a ski vacation near where i live in toronto so usually vermont or quebec. We went out west once to whistler but it was the year of bc snow drought and it was shitty.

Well this year my mom said that theres a good chance that we may be going out west this year for our ski vacation. And i would like to know what people on ns suggest, My brother and i would love to ski a shitload of powder and my mom and dad would probably prefer long step crusiers, but would do any run with us. I've never really skied a full run of powder like some trees with powder and some small cliffs and a cornice her and there, so please ns help me pick the perfect place for my family, i was thinking jackson hole or utah but other suggestions are helpfl, the cheaper the better aswell

Thanks ns and karma to the people that help

Well if you have never been to Jackson Hole then you are missing out. You can also ski Utah for cheap, stay in a hotel then just take a bus to the different ski areas around SLC. Personally im heading up to revelstoke later on but I guess I live out west and have already hit up most everything in my area plus utah/idaho/mt~

Hey man i'm on the exact same situation I was thinking Mt Baker??? or Red?? but i've only ever skied the east this will be my first year going out west for skiing.

i thought about mt.baker but i've heard that inbounds stuff gets skied out really fast and that the best skiing is the back country, but i have no back country experience so i'm not going to take any risk at all. So inbounds terrain is important too. And i cant believe i forgot about revelstoke.

mainly night skiing and the early season before alpine opens.

Any one else wanna help me out?

I would still hit Jackson its way tight and has everything for the whole family, and if you want something more mellow targhee is only thirty minutes away and gets pretty much the most anual snowfall every year. but jackson is a fun hill

This is what my family does and its slamming. Go to Utah and stay a bit south of SLC. You stay like 20 minutes away from Alta, Snowbird, Solitude, Brighten, and Powder Mountain is about a 40 minute drive i think.

you could pretty much pick most places in the west and they would be pretty good. targhee and jackson are sick. alta/bird is dope. and your parents could go to deer valley while you went to snowbird or something.
