guys, i'm looking for some assistance on locating a shop in Northern NJ (i live in hoboken) that does a proper job tuning skis. In particular does anyone know of a shop that uses a stonegrinder and that knows what they're doing?

I've heard horror stories of people taking their skis to get tuned only to find out the dbags used a belt sander and essentially wrecked the ski.

thanks in advance.

well a belt sander should be used to condition the base. but not for the edges but i dont know of any shops in the area. it is not hard to do yourselof thouht if you have the proper hand tools

I work at Mt. Everest in Westwood, NJ. We can tune your shit and its not too far from Hoboken. The guy that does the tuning is fuckin nuts and freaks me out, but he doesn't mess around. He'll do a real great job. We're probly your best bet.

do it yourself. its easy and you dont feel bad the first rail you hit and realize your edge is gone and you wasted 40 bucks
