So me and my friends are seniors in highschool and we live in the northeast. We are planning a ski trip for the third week of january. We want to pretty much stay at the same mountain/resort for however long our stay is so we can get to know the mountain. The mountain needs to have good backcountry, maybe a park, and a lot of snow when were there.

Any suggestions??

utah would be a great choice. its even on their license plates "greatest snow on earth". they reeeeeeally want you to go there.

baker, and stay in bellingham, aside from being a little sketchy its pretty good, its about 45 minutes from baker

Ca - Squaw, Kirkwood, Alpine -epic terrain, kirkwood is sick on pow days, Squaw has some of the best terrain around and a great park, the Munchkins, accessable from alpine is THE sickest terrain in tahoe, gotta hitch a ride from the bottom of Alpine Meadows drive tho.

Or- Bachelor - Awesome trees, The Cirque is sick, normally a bad ass park

Ut- Alta/Snowbird, Brighton - Brighton is the most overlooked in utah, not nearly the crowds, but still has dope terrain

Co- Telluride, Silverton - t-ride just opened up a new lift that services maybe colorado's most popular AT terrain, huge bowl, super sick. Silverton one lift true backcountry, bus comes around and picks u up at the road and brings u back to the lift.

Wy- Jackson, need I say more

Some freshies at any of these will make your trip unforgettable, have fun bro.

P.S. for my senior trip I went to Alta, got dumped on to the tune of 8+ feet in a week, they called it the storm of the century. I hope you get the same experience, espically if you come out my way (ca).

This pretty much seems like a battle of "my home mountain is better then yours!" but id say squaw, http://www.squaw.com
