Why is everyone so concerned about wearing ski only shit and like fraking out and buying like 300 dollar oakley jackets and pants? I think it's a waist of money. I wear Burton outerware...their shit is sick. If a ski company wants me to wear their shit, make it fit me better(i'm hella short n skinny) and make it affordable. Don'nt spend 600 bucks on your'e clothes, use it on your skis n boots. I am spending 700 bucks on ALL MY SHIT including skis, boots, jackets, pants, goggles, and all that shit.

i have burton gloves, sessions and burton pants and ripzone jacket....but i am getting a siver jacket this year instead....i just get what i think looks good...who cares about brand..the only time brand matter is when it come to the quality you want .

If you buy from ski clothing companies like Siver your supporting companies who give back to the sport of skiing. I feel its better to support the industry your invovled in and you want to see get bigger. At least your clothing represent's something then, its a win win.

i go to wherever stuff is cheap, i dont care if it is not teh 04-05 clothes of the century!! I also think it is a waste of money. all my stuff is either from a ski swap, a friend, or sum1 elses older stuff. it's like people think after the season they're made, they're not cool anymore. but i dont know, im cheap and like to save money. i started freestyle last year and everything total prob cost me about 350 dollars. thats is coat, 01-02 1260 skis, gloves, season rental boots, a ski tuning. the rest is what i either got for cristmas or stuff i found in my house sumwhere like my helmet, goggles, poles, and pants

i ge some of my stuff from my cousin , who has just about finished, growing, so i get stuff thats a little to big for me, for free. BUT of course we have to give him a really good christmas present, but who the hell cares, im getting almost brand new stuff FOR FREE

I like the surfing brands like oneill, billabong and quicksilver and such because skiing really feels like surfing to me I don't care what snowboarders say. Also that stuff is original kind of like sessions. Siver is cool I'll get some year after next by then they will be 10000mm.

oakley isnt that expensive...i got my jacket for $80, and i got orage pants for $50. you just have to be patient and look for good deals.

^Because you can buy Burton outerwear that is 10,000 mm Waterproof, or support a core company like Siver, and be wet all winter with only 3,000 mm Waterproofing in their jackets. I'm all for their stuff and supporting them, but I'm not sure I want to be standing out there in the cold soaking wet.

it depends whether or not you need a 10,ooo proof jacket. i mean on the east coas around here, all you need is somethin to keep you warm. you only need somethin really waterproof come spring time.
