Ski time thoughts

I just finished reading most of it. On the whole I like it. Lots of fun stuff such as sick pictures, interesting articles. On the down side I thought the pages were a little too "busy" and oriented towards 11 year olds with the format(crazy fonts and colors). Funniest thing in it: the sponsored thing. Not that the little write up itself was great (well, actually, I laughed a bit), but that it makes fun of kids trying to wear pro stuff, and then is right next to the D-structure add that says "get hooked up where the pro skiers go..." hahahaha. Ski time didnt do d-structure any favors there. That is like say "get sick stuff here like the pros, except people will assume you are a poser if you aren't amazing". Kind of odd.

I liked it. I'm waiting an issue or two until they get everything in full swing before I comment on it though.

i also thought it was way to busy on each page...to many wacky graphics. the pics were A1 though and the sponsorship thing was funny for sure. 2007 Prototype...lol

i thought it was really good. I am really looking forward to getting my next issue. I will most def subscribe to it next year

i felt the content was really good. they had a few sick shots, others where not so impressive. i liked it as a whole though.

I didnt expect much seeing as though it was Harvey and his crews first stab at a mag, it had good stuff and some funny assed articles I just wasnt having the graphics, give them time though it'll be good. Cant bitch though because its free!

I'd rather have tons of ads than have to pay for it!

and t3shell, its Coker on the cover

I thought they did a pretty good job for the first issue. My only gripe is that text was printed any way they wanted, which made me go through the effort of either spinning the magazine around or thinking while I read(I know, it's terrible!). But the photography was pretty good overall, and any magazine that reviews a blinged-out plunger HAS to be cool!

i definately know what you mean about some of it being hard to read, with the fonts and colors and business and such but it was like that in a lot of the ads too

and i really like corey v's interview, it made me laugh

i thought the animals at the kiddie park were so funny, the pictures were sick too, i live in boulder and there are some rails that ive seen that are better than some of the ones they put on the urban section, overall i thought it was siick

overall i liked it, but i got sick of seeing the huge "issue 01 PREMIERE" graphic on every page. also i think it needed a few more articles like the piece on montana, to balance out all the interviews and small stuff (like the handshake thing).

to all those that think it had too many ads and so on...In my opinion it also had way more (and better) content than any issue of Freeskier did before this year. there is a lot to be said for that, and the ads which are supporting it. i'm down. We need Ski Time.

And maybe if AXIS had had that kind of support going on, we might be still reading it today.
