I will probably get flamed for this but oh well.

The articles were terrible.

Some pictures were decent but most were below average.

I felt it was just a pathetic attempt to be like FREEZE...

Grow up! either come out with your own mag that is better, or offer some constructive criticism.

Instead of contributing to the endless amounts of mindless bullshit on this website, I challenge you to step up and give at least 3 realistic suggestions that would make this magazine better, bearing in mind that it is on a trial basis free of charge. Go.
 
I think its pretty good content, the format is a little wack, but it was their first issue, and as stated above its free! does anyone know when the next issue is suppose to come?
 
fuck ski time, its been over a month since they were shipped and over 2 weeks since my friend who lives 4 minutes away got his, pretty shitty service, and i dont care if its the first issue because no matter what, company or anything, it should follow through at all times
 
^ agreed. how the fuck can you complain about a FREE skiing magazine?

i thought it was an awesome magazine with a good start. of course things are going to be sketchy the first time around but overall i find myself reading Ski Time more than Powder or Freeskier just because of all the off-the-wall shit they put in there. it takes a ton of work to put a mag together and these guys definitely exceeded my expectations.
 
SKI TIME FRIGGEN ROCKS, its such a laid back magizene that is doing it for the sport and to have some fun, its amazing
 
Three suggestions:

1) Not as many pro interviews, they're all the same and it isn't good reading.

2) Write some decent articles, other than the opening statement (which was poorly written by the way, and I don't know why Harvey didn't write it) I didn't see one form of writing in there.

3) Develop your own mood, don't try to steal from other magazines such as FREEZE or snowboard mags.

Kev, since when does stating an opinion make me a stuck up little punk? I'm not aloud to say the magazine was junk? And don't give me the "if you don't like it start your own magazine". You can just fuck off if you're using that shit. All I know is if I did start my own mag I'd sure as hell write better articles.
 
on a side note, if you signed up for the first free article, do you automatically have a subscription, or do i have to go back and subscribe.
 
TWSnoboarding is, I though, better than Freeze was, and Ski Time reads like TWS in some ways. The only thing I'd like is bigger pictures in the articles and less wacky shit going on in the layout. Clean up the yellow scribbles and there you go, a rad-ass cross between Thrasher and TWS.
 
ski time is so good because its written for us, not for soccer moms and working dads looking for the best place to take a family vacation or whatever
 
i think it needs to work out some bugs ( less pink and yellow but keep some pink and yellow stuff like that ) but its definately headed in the right direction
 
You know what i don;t think i was harsh at all. I really don;t think you have any idea what it takes to put a magazine together. And if you think you can write better articles why don't you write one and submit it to the magazine.

And Ski Time = Terrible with a little comment about how they suck isn't not an educated opionion is it?

That's a little punk ass comment. It took a bunch of us to get an ACTUAL opinion out of you, that would actually do some good, and not waste everyones time reading crap.

So if you want to be respected, how about making some respectable posts with some real content off the start?
 
What it really all comes down to for me, is lack of respect in general, and i just happen to be taking my fustration out on you.

People need to have more respect these days, there nothing wrong with criticism, but god damn. This sucks, that sucks, you suck.

Espically within our ski community. People are out there doing this for you!

Im tired of it.
 
Now don't go confusing me with the creator of this thread, I was just stating that it is not a magazine I would pay for monthly, at least not from what I seen from the first issue. I did enjoy reading it, but it only took about 10 minutes to do so. I did like a few of the articles, but I didn't think there was enough content to them. I didn't really like the layout either, but that's just my opinion as I prefer a more simple design rather than what it is.

Sorry if I offended you, you seem to be taking this quite personally, I'm just statin my opinion, and I shouldn't have to say so every post.

Its free, did it cost you anything? Nope. Do you lose anything by not getting your free magazine as early as others? Nope. Do you accomplish anything by bitching like a fat kid who has been deprived of his twinkees? Nope.
 
dude ski time was fuckin sick. don't be hatin. any magazine that has harvey nosepressing a skateboard speaks volumes to me.

Kev, you need to slow down before you have a stroke. It's not worth it getting angry like that. He's allowed to have an opinion that isn't "YAY FOR ANYTHING THAT'S REMOTELY RELATED TO SKIING!"... disagree or whatever, but yeah. Not worth it.
 
Oh, and I do plan on writing a small lil article for Ski Time actually, does anyone know when the next issue will be coming out?
