SKI TIME handrail guide!

Its the sickest idea for a ski mag ever... they should do it for a differnt city every issue...because if everyone knows where the rails are people will have to step up what they do and crazier shit will happen
 
i thought so too. i also thought it was funny that on one of the ads a few pages after they have peter olenik doing one of the rails in the guide.
 
That would be sick if they made an annual handrail guide or something, and everyone who wanted to could go around and take pics around there town with addresses.
 
I'd highly suggest NOT sending in a handrail guide for everybody who skis to look at of your town...spots will have more security, could be already sessioned, and sick secret spots will generally no longer be that sweet.

That's just my opinion though.
 
ya im sure security guards and police are gonna be searching through mags seeing if there is a rail near them that ppl might slide so then they can go patrol the area ..... u r right about the other things though
 
No dude, hes saying the more people that hit it, the more attraction there is to the rail, hence more security.
 
Definitely not a good idea. Good handrails will be pounded with skiers. Obviously no police or security guards will look and find them, but the more people there the more likely people will get caught and the more likely the people who control the property may put up those skate guards or something too. Ruining the rail forever.

Find your own rails or keep them in a tight group.
 
that is pretty much the gayest idea ever!!! everyone would screw em up, stupid snowboarders would do em, all the good secret ones would be gone
 
So was sketchline films, you making numberous threads making fun of yourself and saying you're leaving. But guess what? you still did it.
 
ive said it before and i'll say it again... why bother if you cant find them yourself? finding them is half the game
 
well i know, ottawa would have most of the rails in the magazine if they did do a handrail guide.
 
i'm reely stoked to see this i have herd lots about it it sound like such a rad idea, a map of rails..cool.
 
That was a terrible idea. It is sweet to find a new spot, its not sweet to have your spot knobed before it even snows because everyone and their mom knows about it. Bad idea.
 
This is the gayest thing I've ever seen and in very poor taste. Harvey you should know better. Cancel my subscription. I would ask for a refund, but its already free.
 
It would just make you have to get more creative.

I think all information should be shared. We're trying to figure out a way to have an online rail guide on here...

if everybody knows about the rails then people will have to do sicker shit on them to get shoots that people want to see... and it will make poeple progress more that way... and people shouldnt get shoots just cuz they found the rail. they should have to do somthing that is acctually sick .. i want to be able to go to any town and know where all the rails are so i can jsut go hit them.
 
I think it's a great idea. Everyone is always keeping secrets about where their rails are. I'm not down with that

Look at skateboarding, if you see a rail that you have seen in another video there will be a DIFFERENT trick on it. When skaters go out and shoot a rail they will do something ORIGINAL that no one else has filmed before. This is progression, instead of everyone straight up sliding different 'secret' rails.

it can go both ways, ive seen plenty of spots die becuase of overuse. It makes sense to protect really amazing rails with high bust factors, you dont want anyone else doing it first, or ruining it for you, especially for filming. On the other hand though, rails that have been hit for years without anyproblems and are great for learning ect. should no be hidden. At least in my humble opinion.

I haven't seen Ski Time, but if all the rails really are in obvious locations, then that's chill because you'd find them anyway, and they'd already have been killed multiple times. It was a smart move on Ski Time's part, because everybody that relies on other people to find rails for them will be happy and love it.

I don't know about the rest of you, but when I find a sick handrail in the woods randomly or in some secret business park without any paint scraped off of it, I enjoy the satisfaction of knowing that I was the first one to hit it - ever.
