I just moved to a new high school and they have a ski team. I dont know what its all about so if any one is at a school with a ski team could you tell me what its like. If its just racing and stuff im not joining but i will if theres freestyle.

 
ski teams r racing, i might do a ski club when u meet at the school early on saturday morning, like 5, and they get a bus and u go up to like killington and they let u go for the day, untill 4:30 when u meet back at the bus

my school has one, Im not in it. It's bassicly for people who suck and they go out to the local hill like 3 times all year then one trip to sunshine or nakiska. It's gay

it was fun. it got started a few years ago cuz we had a really good kid, he wanted a team so he pretty much started it, then his brother is good to, when he graduates next year i doubt we will have one anymore. but it was fun, we got to go to all these cool places, i was supposed to pay for a season pass and other stuff, but i never did so i got free season pass, free sking at like 3 other places. and hot girls. do it, you dont have to wear those tight suits, and i raced in my twins

Ski teams are a bunch of highschoolers with one or two serious racers, the rest just don't have a sport and like to ski. I will never join mine, because the kids are all crazy weirdos, but a few kids have skiied with twins. I say join, don't bash gates in practice, ride your twins at meets, and do the entire course switch.

I think this place is different though, I think my guidence counselor told me they won state last year or somethin like that.

 
We have a ski team at my private school but this year my friend and I went to our athletic director and asked if the 8 or so of us (Freeskiers) could go with the ski team to our local mtn and just do what we do. and he agreed..so 3 days during the week we head over and tear up the terrain park which is sick. the other days we just lift and stuff

I might do ski team but someone told me u cant ski in the park if thts the case then i wont, some ppl i kno do it and say its fun so it might be okay

 
this'll be my third year on my high school ski team and there are a lot of kids who just go in the park during practice, i'm not one of them though. i'm prob the one of the only people on the team who take it seriously. since i don't compete in anything else in skiing this is the only thing i have to do well in and i have to say that even though i'm not a hardcore racer (in fact before i did the high school team i hadn't raced since i was really young) i just ski fast like i normally do only through gates. i've gotten better times than almost 200 hundred other racers and half of them actually race every weekend. bottomline is go for your school's ski team for whatever reason you want, whether it's to succeed or just go ski during school.

our ksi team is pretty lame...but you get out of school...and occasionally we get lucky enough to ski some park runs...i would get all the info first

 
I did our ski team for one day. I quit after they told me that I couldn't ski anything above an intermediate slope without a chaperone. I was like (-_-)...

all ski clubbers at my school are huge gapers or kids whose parents buy em good stuff and cant make it down black diamonds

i did ski team...unfortunately, i was actually good at it, so the coaches didn't want me going in the park, because they thought i would get hurt, and they wanted me to win races for our team. bummer. so i quit last year.

ill be super rich and own mt.hood and let everybody from ns ski for free... except freezed

we had a snowboard team last year and more skiiers went than snowboarders. we went on like thursdays after school and went up to bolton valley for night skiing

Anyway, a gas station we pass. We got gas, and ran off to get grub.It was a nice little pub in the middle on nowhere. Anywhere woulda been better. I ordered enchiladas and I ate 'em, Ali had the fruit punch.

 
Being on the team and racing can be fun. It's not something I'd want to get into but with some friends it can be a laugh. It improves your skiing qute a bit aswell.

On looking at the enormity and beauty of the Earth you realise just how small we are.
