Ski Tahoe - Help me!

Early I know, but heading to Tahoe for the first part of the season and need to know where I should try and live - where is the best skiing?? Hopeing this site is not only populated by park junkies (nothing against you guys - I love it in the ark too), coz I LIVE for the back country. So where is it steep, deep and preferably devoid of other skiers?

kirkwood is close to tahoe, and its great terrain and snow.

word, kirkwood does have great terrain. squaw and heavenly are dope too.. only a bit crowded

Bah. Tahoe is for park only. I can ski powder at home.

apparently you haven't been to the Heave on a pow day, or Kirkwood during a storm. We got plenty of pow.

The only problem is the crowds, which you can get away from easily at kirkwood.

kirkwood and squaw. if you wanna do some actual backcountry then you are gonna have to talk to some of the shops cus most people wont give up their spots unless they take you with them. wen are you goin? o and dont go to N* unless you only want to ski park.
