Ski Swap Success Stories?

jon symms came to mine and dropped off his infamous black dna pants with the yellow duct tape stripes and i bought em for $50 hahahha. fuck ya

yeah your stealing from a fellow skier not cool...i stole a pair of anons from a shop a few years back and its kinda like a ski swap year round felt like i dick after i realized what i did
 
i forgot to mention they were in the trash can, so i was not stealing. the day before they said we could grab them on the last day of the swap
 
^I was with him the security guard had something up his butt, they day before a different security guard told us we could take them the next day.

How much does your guys's swap take from what you sell? our local ski racing association gets 25% seems like alot to me, i sole my boots for 250 and i only get 188 of that.
 
i got a dope new pair of sessions pants for 40, originally retailed around 180 i believe.

yessir not a bad buy for 10 bucks theyre pretty comfy but prolly not gonna use em except for gaper day or backyard.

not a ski swap , but at a thrift store I picked up AR5s with Rossi pivot bindings for 35 bucks.
I'm going to a ski swap today though so I'll see what I can get.
 
at my home boardshop i can have the old hot doggies fulltilt for 150$ but the new one are 500$...
 
Pair of thrusters last year for 10 dollars had a small edge crack near the tip but i nailed it with a hammer and it lasted 20 days now my friend has them :)
 
I got some brand new FTs for $250 at the Vancouver snow show this morning. Not as good a deal as some in this thread, but I'm stoked. My old Salomons are beat. (I saw a lot of jealous looks as I walked out cradling them too). They were just sitting there in the middle of loads of other crappy boots, even 2 hours after the show opened.
 
my stupid ass ski swap sucked ass. over priced shit items. 08/09 dumonts with sth 12's for $400, the brown leather spk pros that were beat for $250, k2 coomba's with baron's for $800, old 4frnts in bad condition for like $375.

my towns ski swap sucked ass this year!
 
i didnt really find too much, but my mom got a new snowboard, boots, and bindings all for around 100. i was super pumped for her
 
The ski swaps i have been to here in colorado so far have been un impressive. from both a retailer and consumers standpoint. everyone either wants a ridiculous deal or Something thats been sold out since the first 15 minutes of the ski sale.
 
turkey sale in whistler oct.8-11 !! stoked, hopefully i can find something goood... last year i got some oakly pants oringinally like 200$, price tag said 75$ so i went to buy them and they had been lowered to 15$! pretty exciting
 
did you get those seth pros? I asked to put my boots aside on Saturday and picked em up yesterday, and saw that the Seths were still there, along with a couple of pairs of Bumblebees.
 
Got a pair of Bumblebees, the Seth Pros were a shell size too small, unfortunately (and used, although that doesn't bother me too much). I was a little concerned there was too much room in the forefoot, but after swapping in my insoles from my old boots they feel fantastic! Didn't realise my feet were skinny enough for FTs. What did you get from the show? There wasn't much other than the boots - no decent deals on skis that I saw, and the outerwear selection was pretty dismal.
 
I picked up a pair of 2010 Konflicts for 150, slightly used, and I think they were marked down so much because they had a bit of sharpie on the liner, but it's not even visible so doesn't matter all at. And yeah there wasn't really any deals that I saw for the skis and everything else, and I found the show itself pretty lame. I'm really happy with these boots though haha.
