Ski Superpipe in 2019 is Bullshit

Where is the Goddamn amplitude ? I’m being bored to sleep here . Never forget 2003-2007 when the boys were boosting 25 ft out of the pipe first hit

More evidence to show how skiing has regressed since circa 2008

Skiing certainly isn't regressing.

Maybe the rate of progressiveness and/or development is regressing, but the sport isn't.

Sad that these comp venues are struggling to prep good courses. Didnt this happen last year where one of the walls wasnt cut properly?

Here is a side by side from 2007 with Tanner to 2010 Kevin Rolland and 2019 Alex Ferreira:

You can definitely tell heights have gone down and guys just dont send it down the pipe like they used to.

this isn't a fair comparison because one of them is ski boss

Yeah ngl I don’t see any huge differences between any of these 3. Height, spin complexity, style all seem similar at least to me.

Accept Tanner wasn't even really going big there. Not a great example to hinge your point off of.

As Xgames has aged, it’s lost some heavy weight sponsors! Taco Bell, Navy and Jeep all left.

I was just watching xgames highlights this morning and I didnt even recognize the companies sponsoring. Some haircut company and hifi or lofi?

I can't tell if you're being sarcastic, or if you're just blind...

It’s main 4 sponsors are a financial company, The Real Cost, a haircut business, and Wendy’s. What do they have to do with skiing?

Friendly spelling correction in the most basic sense. Neither here nor there :)

True. I never re read anything and fairly regularly slip in an "alternative" spelling or just straight fuck up some grammar. Sometimes I notice as I type it. Sometimes I don't. Yolo and stuff.

Thinking I ought to change my username to Grammarpolice, so that it’s less confusing when I make suggestions. Semicolons are way I need to find a balance; it could be seen as overboard to be that critical of grammar on such a forum.

TYW wasn't competing. He's the only sendy pipe skier left, and he's constantly hurt.. These huge spins + huge amplitude is an extremely dangerous combo... But I agree, amplitude is fun to watch.

Jeep is a huge sponsor....there’s 2 jeeps on the slope course, and they literally had a Jeep rubicon/obstacle course contest this year.

Blindness confirmed.

Jeep is not apart of their main sponsor group. Read when it says “presented by”

How the fuck is jeep not a main sponsor? They made my screen half the fucking size it actually is so they could put a jeep boarder around it hald the time. If jeep isn't a main sponsor they are getting more out of it than anyone else because that's the only sponsor i remember.

Xgames Aspen is brought to you by: SoFi, The Real Cost, Great Clips, Wendy’s. It’s what’s shown during intro and outros of commercial breaks. I could end this all right now but NewSchooler’s doesn’t let us post screenshots.

I bet jeep paid more than all those companies. Jeeps everywhere > mentioning a name before a commercial break. At least i would think, or hope because jeeps the only sponsor i could name of i had to.

I didn’t notice the stuff in the background. I was watching the rider in the center of the camera wearing a jersey that doesn’t say Jeep on it anymore.
