Ski Sundown 09-10 Season

some bad news folks...was talking to bob and jarrod this past weekend and it doesnt look like sundown will be reopening for the 10/11 season. due to a tough year financially and not much hope of next year delivering anything much better, they decided to take next season off to reamp the mtn and hope to create enough finacial backing to reopen for the following season. terrible news to here especially after so many great seasons, but lets all keep our fingers crossed that they will reopen in two years better than ever

i talked to jarrod too, this shit sucks super unfortunate. guess i got outa CT at a good time. hope you guys can still make the best outa next season and get up to mt snow alot

Just kidding, I know what you mean, but I couldn't resist. My guess is, nothing has been fully set into action (I mean come on, Jarrod barely knows what he's putting up the day before he sets up the park - haha). But, progressive park usually means not kiddy park, but not big boy park...somewhere in the middle, and I would also venture to guess that it will be set up AFTER the papoose (that word just doesn't look right...) and/or over easy splits, that way, people who don't want to be in the park can get away easily, but we wont know for certain till open day...which is still far away :(.
 
Thank god, all of my friends were saying its gonna be like a bunny park or it wasn't even gonna happen.. I'd love to see a park on toms, it could be fun
 
it will start off with really dinky features..... its the first time in years we've put stuff on that trail, so i want to ease into it.... also... this is replacing the sensation park. so things will be similar in size to that. but we'll have more features.... basically, for you guys, it'll make the afternoon groom hour less lame while really offering something to the novice skiers and riders to practice on with out people really getting on them for being in the way when its busy
 
i think that will deffiantly be an incentive to keep alot of the gaypers out of stinger. its a lot easier for the little kids to hit the shit, while still feelin good because its still on the main mountain not on the kiddy hill
 
To be honest, I miss when the jumps were in the middle section (where the cannon and trap were next to each other for most of the season), there were 2 jumps side by side that were actually pretty nice.
 
no - this edit is a few years old. The Sartorious event was just one step down, this is two tables side by side, I think it was a 10' and 20'. They were mad fun, I learned blunt 5s and switch 3s on them. I remember the set-up was a cannon and a box with a down rail side by side into the side by side jumps into the a-frame and urban down big red side by side, into the bottom jump - so much fun.
 
perhaps instead of an unnecessary 'bump,' you should be original and start instead a sundown 10-11 thread.

OH WAIT. this is skiing! there's no originality anymore.

Sundown should try and get a couple of these. There awesome, I wanna say butternut has a couple of them, there just a good thing to fill in space with, you can put them anywhere . You could put one of these in between the s rail and the dfd, just to get rid of the empty spot in the park. Just my 2 cents.

who are you ive never even seen you at sundown before. and for the corregated tubes ive never hated a feature more haha, im always scared my edges are gona rip out
 
Jarrod hates those, as do I, but I think...maybe...there is one lying around somewhere...maybe.
