Ski Stiffness

As everyone's seasons start up and you get your first tastes of the new pro twins, i'd like a lil input for when we start to test next years line. Specifically, I would like everyones input on the stiffness of the ski. With the addition of the metal plate to the pro twins, this years ski is much stiffer than previous years. How does that work for you? Are you still able to do the butters and whatnot you desire? How does that affect the ski outside of the park?

Personally, I prefer the stiffer ski, I think it enables me to ski the whole mountain with more comfort at higher speeds. Thanks for your input...

i've only got to use the skis on a rail, so i dunno how well they ski on the entire hill. i sorta of prefer a softer park ski. I'm sure they're sick as an all mountain ski, but for maybe next year i think the pro twins should be mostly park, because the new SBs can be the all mtn tool. That way there is a solid park ski, all mtn, then big mtn. I'm curious to see if they soften up though.

i think the pro twins could be softer, to make butters much easier and for an overall more forgiving ski.

sometimes when you land in the back seat the stiffness just kills in terms of boot-bang. itd be sick to have a ski that could have some flex to it while preserving the rideability

i think its cool to have a stiffer ski for sure, because i know that on bigger hits etc, it will be nice to not noodle out on the landings, however i think a good compromise in the flex pattern could defanitely exist. The stiffer ski is great for sure for all around ripping, but it does make real presses near impossible. I think that noodly skis like invaders dont cut it all mtn, but stiff skis like the new pro twins are a little stiff for the park only orirented kid..i think we should play around with some flex patterns and find a solid compromise for next season...that being said im stoked on the skis for sure, and cant wait to see the sb's..i hear they are a bit softer too

i was hoping that the stealths would be a little bit more flexibale but they are sick

correction i have been calling my stealths SB's soo...when ever you see SB by me i mean stelahts

they are stiff, but you can use it to your advantage...they are super tough to budder, but once you flex them they will explode with pop..they are also alot more stable for landings on bigger hits etc...that being said if your pretty light and not quite as strong, they might be a little tougher to muscle around

ya landings were real nice, especially with my langes that have the absorbers in them too, it felt real smooth, i was stoked about that.

i just rode them on a real hill for the first tim and i loved them. I was doing some butter. they were tough but deffinately still do able. and witt is right. they do pop like mad. I think that i like the stiffness of them. I feel alot more comfortable on them than something too soft.

Alright thanks guys, in general I would agree with most of your comments. I just spent 3 days skiing between Copper, Keystone, and Breck. Got some really good big mountain - style skiing at Copper and the skis held really well at high speed in crud, far better than the softer skis of past. So... I feel like as an all around ski, the Stealth is gonna kill it. For those trying to butter up onto rail though, gonna be tough. I suppose we'll wait on the SB and see how realistic the flex situation is on those before we look towards revisions.
