Ski + snowboard harmony?

out in jersey i have friends that ski and snowboard, but much more that snowboard. when i ride its usually with snowboarders just cause they're my friends and i totally have no problem with the fact that i mostly shred with knuckledraggers. even though they give me shit sometimes for skiing, just jokin around, they have had my back when snowboarders we didnt know have talked shit. i guess me statring this thread is just asking if theres more of a sense of harmony or duality between tskiers and snowboarders in your individual experiences.
 
My brother is a snowboarder, and so is all of my friends. ive been snowboarding for eight years before changing for skis, so at the begining they were joking on me but now they respect my sport, my life.
 
snowboarders are cool but sometimes they can be a nusance and cut you off in the park. But they are cool cus they gots legit tricks on rails and boxes
 
people cutting you off in the park has nothing to do with what they're riding. it's because 99 percent of people in america are complete assholes that only think for themselves
 
Most of my friends at school board and then at my hill ill ride with random boarders sesh the park together. Its all good. The only skier-boarder hate I ever see is in youtube comments, thats also where I see teh most bigotry and racism too.
 
most of the snowboarder i see at my mountain are cool. i ride with a bunch of boarders and i have no problem with it, i like it alot too because you see different tricks from them and stuff. i think its more of disharmony between the snowboarders that suck and the people that are decent
 
I have never ridden with any skiers, only snowboarders.

If I had not met snowboarders I wouldn't be skiing right now, so I have no problem with them.
 
last year around march, i was hit at the top of a landing by a snowboarder. i was trying a slow floaty truck 5, but only got 450 around. when i was hiking up to get my skis (my pals were telling people not to go) a boarder went, did some gay circle arm move, and hit my right knee forcing me to get 16 stitches.

There are many assholes at my hill both on one plant as well as two. I'm the only guy in my group of friends who skis, everyone boards. Everyone who I ride with is pretty chill. I'm usually the one who is joking around and making giving my friends shit for being boarders. Theres just too many others who have no respect for other peoples lines.
 
dude unless your freinds were blocking off the lip you cant really hold that too much against him. i mean maybe he didnt hear you. now were you walking up the center of the landing or off to the side? and the fact that he was flailing has nothing to do with it. accidents happen bro this isnt a risk free sport.
 
at my mountain sometimes the rail jams can be completely snowboard biased where skiers dont even get htere own tricks to do
 
same shit almost happened to me a couple days ago, i lost both my skis off a crash tryin to to a 5 and before i had even gotten up 1 then 2 then another boarder flies over the top of the jump and i had to dive the fuck outta the way
 
Hardcore

Everyone i ride with are boarders, the only skiers i ever ski with are my brother and his friend. Mostly everyone at our mountain is chill and keeps to themselves mostly.
 
not really an issue where i ride, everyone pretty much rips together and/or just doesn't pay attention to eachother... i have plenty of friends who ski and plenty who board, definitely a good atmosphere.
 
there is only one skier i know and ski with and he lives three hours away so we hit it up maybe a few times a year. other than that it's all with boarders. i don't think i've ever got hate from them except when i was first starting when i was like 13, but hey, it was a while ago.
 
What does this have to do with snowboarding or skiing. You got hit by a person, not a sport, seperate the two. Snowboarding didn't give you 16 stitches.
 
okay..the only snowboarders i truley hate are the ones that are medioker...or however you spell it... if they are really good and cool i like them...but this one time we had a little tiny tiny kicker and we were hiking it and shit cuz we dont have our park up yet..and there were boarders on the ski lift screaming..SKIIERS CAN HIT RAMPS..SKIIERS SUCK...and all that shit..and then they came to the ramp hit it and fell on there face...i hate when they talk shit but cant back up...im still trying to like snowboarders...i dont like them to much now..its just the tension when your around them.
 
i may be wrong, but it appears to me that there are more snowboarders hating on skiers then skiers hating on snowboarders. I guess it's ecause then sorta owned the parks before twin-tips hit the marked, and now skiers are taking over. but i've also seen episodes where skiers talk shit to boarders just for being boarders, which is pretty lame, unless then have a spesific reason for it..
 
our park is about 80% snowboarders still. so I'm fine riding with them, it's just kinda annoying when they sit on their ass right underneath jumps.

oh yeh, there wouldn't be terrain parks if it weren't for snowboarders! just throwing that out there.
 
where I ski people tend to get more angry with other skiers.

Especially if there's someone who's not that experienced, and does a bad jump and bails. Then uses time to get their skis or something, and the other guys really freak out cause they have to wait to make their jumps..

Not many people who ride the park where I live, so there's no such thing as a queue.
 
I always ride with at least 2 snowboarders at all times. But there are the gay ones decked out in all burton gear that feel the need to talk shit after doing there 50/50's

never ever encounter hate on the hill, cuz people who actually ride lots tend to be chill. its the boarders you meet at the bar who mindlessly talk shit but dont actually ride much and arent any good
