i am going skiing with school and they are making us wear helmets. i was wondering if a skate helmet will do the same job cos i dont wanna wear a ski helmet. any input apprecitated.

they are about 50 punds and a skate helmet is about 25. THis is only an issue because i will never wear one again.

Go get a Giro nine.9. They are way stylie, and warmer than a beanie. They are also way lighter than any skate helmet.

do what works for u, it'll work the same, i'd just make sure a beenie will fit underneath the skate helmet so my ears don't get cold, apc makes some tight helmets.

the giro nine is the way to go. but mine was looking funky with oakley a-frames so i threw a visor on it. light as fuck, warmer than any hat. i used to have a racing helmet in high school that made me never want another helmet, but the nine is so good u forget that ur wearing it.

i think ovo's have small brims, and capix makes some batting helmet style ones.

jon olsson was wearing a redbull helmet like that in the x games. I think it looks pretty flamin but everyone has different opinions.
