Ski size

It will def feel different, but shouldnt be too bad. You probably wont notice it first day of the season. but sheesh im 5'10 and im nervous for upgrading from 166 to 171 haha

You'll be ok. It takes a little to adjust to the size but you should be ok. I upgraded from a 148 to a 168/170

most important thing is not to mount them to far back because doing an urban onto a rail will be noticeably harder. i recommend a center mount or +1

They will most likely be fine, it depends on your weight, the amount of rocker/camber, skiing ability and the width of the ski.

Just quoting for emphasis. Weight has such a big influence and to be honest most of those factors will be more important then just height.

I've been 5'9 the whole time I've been skiing. I started on 159 and halfway through the season i stepped up to 177. You might notice a bit more control on the hill but a little bit of difficulty spinning. Thats about it.

This may just be my opinion. The Bigger the ski the better. As long as you can still throw it around your good. Personally I'm 5'8'' 170lbs and haven't rode skis under 188 cm since I was around 150lbs. The Bigger the ski the faster/bigger you can go. Also the bigger the ski the easier it is to stomp. Get some man sticks under your feet bruh. I think you made the right choice!

Could never ski twin tips under 180 anymore. Anything else feels way to small. Im 5'10'' as well. Pow skis are 189, normal everyda skis are 180.

I do have a pair of front side carvers in 170 which are great
