Hi im 15 years old, well about to be and im like 5'9 this will be my second year of freeskiing ive skied for along time before but i got into park. I am getting a center mounted ski that is fairly semetrical and i was wondering what ski size i should get i am planning on 166cm. I also can do rails and jumps pretty well. Are they to big for flipping and spinning or would they be fine?

Im your hight and have 166. Ar7s, if you are buying new skis though I would be inclined to suggest a ski that is about 170cm because you will grow being about 15 years old and most people like a longer ski in the park, thats the size ski I would but if I got new skis but my ar7s are still kicking so its not worth the extra coin, one other thing you might need to consider is if the skis you are buying are rockered than the general rule of thumb is to go a size up from the normal ski size

Hope this helps

thanks the description says .As an entry level freestyle ski the Sling Shot comes fully loaded. Meant for skiers beginner through strong intermediate looking to explore freestyle riding, the Sling Shot doesn't sacrifice much. With durability always being a concern for park riders the Sling Shot get a Monoblock Cap construction with a Laminated Wood Core. These combine to provide loads of strength to hold up on rails, boxes, and cased landings. They also make the Sling Shot poppy and smooth while keeping a good amount of forgiveness. This means all the ollie power needed but a calm and predictable feel when you are skiing outside of the park. For that little bit extra the Sling Shot has a jib rocker profile, slight rocker tip and tail with no camber, making it easy to find your sweet spot for buttering and a catch free feel for setting spins. While the Sling Shot has what is takes for freestyle fun it is just as happy outside of the park, making it a wonderful ski for anyone looking to progress everywhere on the mountain.

Op you probably want something a little all mountain too just cause you've skied before. If you really want a fully symmetrical ski go for it but not too many cheap ones. Your gonna probably out grow them in a few years so size big. For a first time park ski just get something thats more on the cheap size cause your gonna beat hard.

Here something you might like.

Dynastar 6th sense spin 2011. Full twin tip. 119-87-109. This would kill park. 173cm and it's full camber.

im 5.8 and i ride iron maiden 174cm.. i think 166cm would be a bit too small espcially if you plan to ride them for couple of season
