im saving up for new twins this summer but im not sure what length to buy. ive been skiing on 163's for the last two seasons and im used to them, but im going to park city next year so i need longer skis in order to go fast enough to clear the big tables. im 5 foot 11 and weigh 155 and the bindings would be centered so help me out should i get 169, 175, or 179?? i heard that longer skis are harder to spin on.

 
id say 175

how about a jib for the mentally unstable aswell. maybe a picture of a kid with down syndrome on a box - anathema
 
umm im 5'8 and ride 178's. they fit me perfectly. your taller than me so you should def go with the 179's if not bigger

Get the 179. You're more than big enough for them. I'm only 5'4'' and 120 lbs. and I ride a 176 and have no problem spinning them at all.

 
im 5'7" and im on 176, get 179 or 181

and dude next time you buy skis dont buy them just cause ur going to park city

beween a 169 to a 179 there is only 10cm and a 175 is about 5cm different(either side). Thats not a big difference so wont make any difference in spinning. Its like when i went from a 158 to a 170. you dont even notice except for the stability and balance of the longer ski. go 179. you'd be fine on a 175 but a 179 would be better.

I'm a fan of shorter skis. I think it is noticable. I ski 161 1080s in the park, but I have 175 pocket rockets that I use for more floatation in powder

thanks everyone. oh and im not just buying skis cause im going to pc next year im not rich enough to buy skis just for a dumb reason like that its just that my old skis are trashed and small

 
try the 155's they are great for the little guys
