Ski size question... yes ive read the sticky too

Im wondering wether a 162 or 163 w.e it is Mad Trix would work for me... im skiing a 178 invader which goes just above my head and my 161 teneightys (totally trashed) go to my nose... im looking at the Mad trix as a racing/pipe ski so yea will it work well?

just i can get a really good deal on a 163 ski... like a really nice deal...

definately, i used to ride a 164 and i'm 6'0" tall, shorter skis perform just the same, its just people think it looks better to have longer skis

I think it starts off as a fad, but when you ride the longer skis you enjoy it the same, with the added bonus of having longer skis and looking better, so a lot of people prefer the longer sizes
 
This is the complete opposite of the truth....SHORT SKIS are the trend...people have been skiing normal length (what you consider long) for many years
 
try some different lengths and figure out what you like best.

--note: pipe and racing usually are higher speed and big air, so you may want somthing a bit longer for some stability.

THE TRUTH ABOUT SKIS SIZE IS EVERYBODY NEEDS TO TRY THINGS AND SEE WHAT THEY LIKE BEST!! TRY, THEN DECIDE!!!!
