Ski size 189 or 179

Im getting the k2 obsetheds and am wondering what size to get im 5'9", and wegh 145 and im still growing i wont be using them for park just bc pow,outobounce tree skiing, bc booters, groomers and some kickers.
 
i'd say 179, for trees, booters, and groomers you'll be happy and it'll just be a little sacrifice in pow but you can handle it. also not sure about the obsethed's but k2 skis tend to run longer than they say, i may be wrong though
 
If you're growing then 189 is a possibility, but at your height, a 179 would be much better.

I don't know about obsetheds specifically, but i know that k2 sizes funny and that 189 hellbents are at least 194
 
Yeah man i would suggest the 189s. I rode those when i was your size, except back then they were called the seth pistols. They definetly feel big at first but youll get used to them. They will charge like a mo fuka too!
 
i dunno, 189 is pretty damn big for tight trees... but it's all personal preference i guess... i probably wouldn't get k2 189s even at 6'1" they're just massive.

189s would be great for charging though.

if your parents are huge (jack in the beanstalk) then go 189if not, you probably wont grow too much more, therefore you should go 179
 
id say get the 179s the 189 would be huge for you and prolly somewhat hard to handle that it wouldnt be that fun. I just bought last years seth in the 179 and seems perfect and im 6'1''
 
I will be in the pow, BC, booters , some charging, groomers , tree skiing ,maybe some park, and kickers just about every thing all over but not a ton of park and pipe i got ar6s for that.
 
dude get the 179 and then set ur bindings for like +5..thats what im doing, its like a pow/switch riding/some kickers. If u get the 189 ur prolly gonna be pissed cuz its huge
 
Its like +5 from traditional, ud kno what i mean if u had the ski cuz it actually has mountain locations and shows the numbers.
