Ski Shops

It's a fairly complicated process really... but, here's my take:

You need to get a bunch of cash saved up for your initial investment. In this initial investment, you will need to rent out a building, or a piece of land (and build a place). You then need to contact a bunch of major companies and make 'reseller' partnerships so that you are allowed to sell their stuff in your shop.

Umm, yeah, that's it. But starting a business like that is pretty damn complicated.. you have to pay staff, buy equipment (cash register, racks, signs) you have to market it, etc...

You have to register your shop with the government, buy insurance, get tax licenses, etc. etc. etc.

I guess that's about as simple an explination you can get.. ?

hehehe..

anyways, if you are still a student, search the net for info on Student Small Business Grants. You need to have a kickass business plan made (if you are serious about this hire a consulting firm...it'll make your life much easier) and really need to know your stuff.

I am thinking of doing the same thing, the only thing that is stopping me is where i am gonna end up going to university.

Yeah if you can find a ski hill that is kind of struggling, but seems like it's going to bloom, then that'd be prime.. cheap land, cheap rent, and if the place gets really good, you're garunteed success.

but you have to find that kind of place first.. heh good luck.

Tremblant 15 years ago is a prime example.

make sure your confident it will pay off, and then take out a shit load of loans, but pay them back quick or oyour fucked

There is a place called Beach Mtn. over here that has the shittiest ski shop ever and they get pretty good business. But the best thing is, no one has their own skis. Whisper me if you wanna try it. You should look into this place man.
