Ski Shops In Seattle

Hello locals, I'm moving up to Seattle in about a week for UW. I'm going to have to get to know the local ski shops and was wondering what everybody thinks of them. I'm especially interested in ski boots because I know I'm going to be purchasing some from a ski shop this year before the season starts. Here are some questions on the ski shops. Thanks for the help!

1. Name?

2. Selection (Good Brands too)?

3. Prices?

4. Quality of bootfitter?

5. Location?

Well since you are at Uw, Evo is going to be your best bet because its so sick and plus its real close (freemont)

I'd definitely recommend evo, especially bootfitting, they did a great job for my brother. Sturtevants also had great bootfitting, but there aren't as many other bonuses in my opinion. Both are equidistant from campus (evo in fremont, sturts across the lake in bellevue) but overall, go to evo

evo is good BUT the best bootfitting in seattle will be Seattle Ski on aurora. Also for a small shop they hold it down just as hard as evo, carrying some of the sickest brands... talk to brian or trent and they will get you set up with the best boots for your foot, and the fit is guaranteed so if any little thing bugs you you can take it back and theyll always fix it for free.

those two pretty much. evo and seattle ski and snowboard. also as far as mountains go i would recommend going to stevens. welcome to the WA!

at evo if the boot bugs you even after they fit you they will give you a full refund....

Tom at evo spent 5 hours with me getting me fitted, least to say it was the best fit of my life

Yup already got my Stevens Pass season pass. I'm actually from Walla Walla Washington so I'm not completely new to the area, just the city. Sounds like Evo and Seattle Ski are looking pretty good. Thanks for the input so far everybody.

good call. but if you ever come down to white pass hit me up. ill be there for one more year...

if you bike i recommend duthie hill and colonnade. colonnade might be within riding distance depending on where you are in u district

trying on a shit load of boots, getting the liners and foot beds molded and getting the shell ground out in spots takes time

i know. haha. i feel kinda guilty.

it's really fun, and i go down there with ed who's more into biking than me and we just cruise around, but i don't do much.

i'll do the small jump line, but i really suck at jumping, so i case a lot of the jumps, and the wallride terrifies me. haha.

if any of you guys go down there, shoot me a pm and maybe i'll meet up with you!

that wallride=the shit. favorite feature there. im always afraid of breaking my bike so i dont hit the bigger jumps really

just make sure you dont look right when you get up high on it. you can see over the edge and its scary as shit.

i think i met that guy. he randomly asked me if he could shoot photos of me. is it an ns'er?
