So i know that some people on here go to a ski academy or whatever you call it (sorry i don't know what you actually call it ha)

and i was wondering where it is, what level of courses you do there (eg High school or college) and how much or if you need a scolarship??

thanks.

i know a few friends going away next year a few are going to nsa and some going to north woods both are in lake placid ny

there is the winter sports school in park city. high school courses but its pretty picey. i cant think of it now but i will get back to you

there are all kiinds of different curriculims.. I think the question you should ask is which ski academy has the biggest most intensive college prep program or which one is the easiest. There are so many of them. All the biggest school in the eastern US now offer FS programs.

i see. thanks.

Ok, so which of all the ski academies has the best mountain and/or coaching for a reasonable price?

OMS hooks it up. Chris Marks and Mike Bruno are the coaches. Such a good group of kids and good training. Hopefully Okemo park wont suck for next year tho... OMS would be so muchy more baller if not.

hhahaha -- here again - I think they are mostly porportionate to what they offer. Whether it be the quality of room and board or including travel to comps, you need to narrow down your criteria. They are all good. Finding one that is going to match your personality and reason for going to an academy is the hard part.

If you are just trying to shop price, you will not find one that is free unless you are a poor destitute top Junior Racer with contacts and race results. Sort of a catch 22.

If I were in your shoes, I would get to an academy that has people you know attending, learn the lifestyle and determine if you want to transfer, continue on or do a "been there, done that".

Browse websites and get on mailing lists. I have no idea of how we ended up on so many, but I bet we have recieved over 40 different invites to various schools and camps all over the world this spring.

CVA has produced some of the best skiers, their training facility is dope, and the loaf is sick. but the classes are hard, carabassett valley is boring for the most part, and sugarloaf is cold as a witches tit

yeah dude i go to gould, its sweeet you should def. look into going here. ski everyday

good coaching. a ton of comps. you should look here its nice.

I get to go to Okemo Mountain School for a couple months and its pretty fun. Its deffinatel the most cheep mountain school in existance to. I'm pretty sure they can offer any course you would find yourself taking at your homeschool. Most classes the education is serious and you actually learn, but then there some classes where you chill for half the class and work for the 2nd half.

I'm sorry if thats very stupid question, but can i go to any of those schools if im over 21.. or are they like.. highschool.. sorry.. im not from USA.. and im not that much in to those things.

So im international, i'm 23 now :/... i dont have much money.. What ski school (if any) will be good for me. I just wanna ski and progres alot. Thanks
