Ski Scene at West Virginia University?

Hey I was wondering if anyone on NS goes to WVU and if so how's the ski scene there? I'm thinking about transfering there for fall 10 and was wondering if anyone could help me out and give me some insight. btw I did searchbar and checked regionals and couldn't find anything good. thanks.
 
i think wisp is under and hour away and 7 Springs is around and hour and a half... not completely positive.
 
Wisp is half an hour away most kids from wvu go to wisp. Wisp is a chill place nothing amazing. And everyone there is chill. Plus you could prob car pool with people.
 
The ski scene there sucks / is non-existant. Once a year there is a Mo-Town throw down, but its just a little rail jam. If your main focus is skiing you'll get none done there. Wisp is 45min 7 springs is hour and 20 minutes. Wisp blows, 7springs is fun but small. Its largely a school of d-bags from new jersey with fake tans, earrings, and v-necks. I went there for baseball but when that didnt work out moved to Utah. At WVU I'd say I got 20-30 days in a year, out here Im getting 100+. If you are going to transfer to try to get skiing in WVU is not the place. If you wanna get real fucked up and go to some really fun parties and not much else then WVU is for you.
 
wvu has a great ski scene, however you have to make it your self....

You do have wisp which is like super close... and their park crew is one of the best in the south east!

so if you dont mind occasionally going up your self youll be straight up!

inferno is right about the NJ part no a couple fake tan douchs from my school who go there( i actually no one person who is supper chill that goes there buut def doesnt ski), but really its not that good of a school , i dont have any expierence but the skiing most likely will not be that great and there is def not alot of kids who actually ski, i would def look elsewhere i go to ltcc ya its a cc but its in tahoe and i love it.
 
i disagree, wisps park is not nearly as good as seven springs, which also has 5 parks to wisps 2. and even liberty mountain, which is not near wvu but is still southeast, has a much better park w/ alot more features. trust me, i've ridden all of them this year.

bottom line, you can ski, but its not going to be good. if you have options in the west, go there.
