Ski resort capacity

Christmas-ish last year pretty sure Bush / Mad river in VT had to turn people away because there was literally nowhere left to park.

Probably alot of other places in that boat as well during that stretch.

Breck turns people away, especially on the weekends and holidays. There are absolutely no lines, locals only, it's great.

Squaw is starting to learn this great trick too.

I heard they are only going to open peak 6 on three randomly selected weekdays too! Things are looking good for this season.

it is totally worth the price to go ski silveron. been there 3 times with a guide and it is epic. so much fun and always a party.

I don't think Ski Resort would thrown people away not unless if their rooms were fully booked. But, I am sure that resorts has lots of options for their costumers so they would not turn away.

one day this year at wachusett they stopped selling tickets around 11 cause the lots were full and it was the biggest clusterfuck shitshow ive ever seen

Many ski resorts will turn people away. Not out of money issues but more along the mine of public safety and liability. They will pack as many people onto a run as they can until safety becomes a factor. To many people will also reduce the enjoyment factor for the paying public. If I spend $85 for a day pass and i spend a total of three hours in lift lines that is not a good deal. Not only do you have one pissed off consumer but you also have that customer telling all his friends that its not worth the value.

Yes. Two years ago, my local mountain (Perfect North in Southern Indiana) had to turn people away because there was no parking space available. It was over Martin Luther King day and there was mass asians there with Ramens. So they had to turn people away. Since then, we commemorate that day as Asian Invasion

MLK day is like a day hell for ski resorts. Minnesota does it right though, I was skiing in -26°F on MLK weekend last year at giants ridge.

ive seen mountains restrict uphill transport and lengthen the period before you can take a second lap.

they probally just wanted you to go inside and spend money........

At Sierra At tahoe on extra busy weekends the parking lots fill and the road in fills and they have to turn people away because there is nowhere to park

that shit was fucking insane and it happened like 3 times last year too, 35 minute waits for like a 30 second run.

one day during christmas week last year. my mountain sold about 1000+ day passes and if you factor in the amount of people who own a season pass thats like 1500 people

home ''mountain" is only 200 vert feet and its only 25 mins north of boston and some days in late January we have to stop selling tickets because our lots only so big
