Hey, does anyone know what the rentals are like at Breck? Are you able to rent some decent centre mounted park skis? / Anyone know if any of the shops rent out On3p?

Cheers

Plenty of places demo factions, ignore the guy above if you wanna ski park with demo bindings you can. They aren’t that much heavier

Actually even demo skis are not at all optimal for park bc of the heavy af demo binding

What? Demo bindings don't weigh that much more? If you can't ride due to the tracks, umm I think you have other issues.

I've rented from Christy's Sports twice and it's not too bad if you only rent skis. $30 something per day after taxes. DEFINITELY rent in Denver. Prices at the Breckenridge stores are way more ($28.76 vs $43.96). Select the demo skis only option and they have a huge rotating list of skis on a chalk board to pick from. I got the candide 3.0's when I rented both in Denver and SLC. When you get there, they may try to just give you a pair cuz most folks they rent to have no clue what a ski even is, but take your time and look over the board and pick what ski and length you really want to ski on.

The stores vary in their selection and inventory though, so what the Denver stores may have might have, the Breckenridge stores may have already rented out.

I second renting in Denver. The other issue with renting on mountain is if they are crowded it will take like an hour to get set up while you are wasting daylight.

If you have time stop in Golden and demo from powder 7 they have a huge demo fleet of indie brands

Wait really? The store told me they were heavier (to carry at least) bc the binding was heavier.

Why do so many stores give out misinformation? It’s happened to me at multiple bootfitters and in VAIL no less.

Yes they weight more but not in the amount that you're going to notice.

For example, 2019 attack 13 bindings are 2.07kg per pair. The demo version is 2.55kg. That's a difference of 0.48kg or 1.06lbs per pair. Having a half a pound extra weight on each foot is negligible for most people.

They are slightly heavier and slightly alter the flex pattern but that shouldn’t be enough to stop you from hitting rails

never get rentals

Demos exist so you can try before you buy. Demo days are great.
