Ski racers?

its fucking easy to tell look at his style u fucking spastic. and evan if he wasnt none of the people u named ski lines halh as good as hugo harrison

alright alright boys, take it easy....im a racer, and i will continue racing until the end of next year then i will sell all my racing gears and buy new twins, jackets, pant and stuff like that

Racing for my school... That means show up to race 3 days a year, and freeski on "practice" days.

10 Practice days = 10 days not being in school. It works for me, hence "Racing" being cool.

wow your on a computer good luck proving your better than anyone

i race and yea alot of racers are compelte dicks but most the time the park rats have bigger egos and think they are thugs. their are assholes in both but i think that we all can agree that snowblading is gay

yea at my mountain the racers are a buncha suppper rich ass white kids that think they own the mountain. thats part of the reason i quit like 4 years ago was becase i hated everyone in our race program thing.

i ski raced for about 6 years not very competitvly just mostly so i could go ride parks cuase my club dont have one

seth was a racer, it says something like this in skeeze magazine "the day i learned to carve and actually pick up speed in turns was the greatest day of skiing in my life" this is what i remember, not an exact quote. he said this about ski racing, so yes he did race, and about 75% of pros now started in racing.

YEha erik fisher won a slopestyle, and junior olympic DOWNHILL in the same day. hes from my hill, and hes on the us team. hes a crazy fucker.

Oh i did 4 runners like 5 years ago to learn how to carve and get better at skiing... then for the next 3 years i was on the freestyle team

ya im a racer and most of the people i race with are cocky litle stuck up basterds and i cant stand them. im ashamed to be claasified as a racer so at luch and at the end of the day im hiiting up the park. and the whole matching jackets thing is really gay.

There are so many pro's who race becasue when they started skiing there was no freeride, It doesn't mean all racers are good.

I race for my high school, but it's pretty relaxed. If you want to do good you get a suit and race skis but I just wear a sweatshirt and my old non-twin tips. Best I can do is like 40th out of 80, but it is still fun.

...He said in a down-talking, condescending tone.

Point being, it's just as bad from both sides.

Not a racer. Not into carve skis either. I feel incomplete with a ski that only goes in one direction. So limiting. But each to their own.

I'm a pretty serious USSA racer, and I've noticed that most of the guys I race with are getting into park skiing. The two really help each other out, one makes you get better at the other. Skiing makes you get better at skiing, I'd say. I love it all

There has always been freeriding.

The truth is, racing requires a lot of skiing technique, and learning how to ski really, really well is the foundation for racing programs. Being able to ski really well obviousely translates well into big mountain and pow skiing, and will also probably help in the park. Thats why so many pro freeskiers started out racing when they were kids.

I have no idea why NS hates racing so much. Buncha hipsters I guess. Racing is sick and super gnarly, and lots of my friends who I freeski with are ex racers or even still racing.

Yeah buddy!

I raced for as long as I could then switched over to coaching which gets me a free membership, basically offsets the cost of new equipment and at my hill skiing park all day gets extremely boring, so it gets me out on the hill everyday. Still love racing, but as soon as I'm done work the twintips get popped on and I go shred

I coach the forerunners (7-7 yrs old) for the race team i grew up on. Its the fucking parents man. The kids are awesome, the parents are dreadful cunts. All of them. They all talk shit behind my back because i dont dress like a racer anymore. One day, one of the parents that has been around for a long while stood up and explained that i had raced with all the guys that coach the higher levels, and dicked on them every weekend, but moved on. That was a good day.

I raced for 6 years and i was good at it, always made it to my tristate championships. I realized that i enjoyed freeskiing is what i like better. If you hate racers then thats just stupid. Racing has been in skiing for way longer then Freestyle skiing was. It wont go into the shadow of any sport. It will always be a popular sport. Many great freestyle skiers originated from Racing. Most people should be getting their facts straight before making stupid comments without thinking about it first.

My hill is a tiny little mountain right in my town and it is really cool because all my friends and i ride snowmobiles up to the mountain and ski everyday after school and everyone races because we don't even have a park so most people get pretty good at racing. my little brother and his friend were both top 5 at states last year, and then at the races at the bigger mountains most of the time we are some of the best skiers in the park. Racing def makes people better skiers and from my experience all the racers that are all tools and assholes are the rich kids who all get 5 new pairs of skis every year and aren't even that good
