Ski racers?

I'm a racer but I also freeski all the time. You'd have to be retarded not to freeski in Jackson or anywhere else for that matter.
 
Im n ot a racer. but At my hill it seemed to be that all the racers are fags. they think there better then everyone else and there all stuck up and they talk down to the freeriders....there gay.
 
all the racers ive seen have coloured hair green,blue,pink,purple and ive seen some other racers that are emo or are starting to turn emo
 
All the racers that everyone sees skiing around their mountain acting like fags are the rich kids that think they're good at racing but they're not. Most the racers I know that are at a high level of ski racing are pretty cool. There are definately some gay kids but theres always gonna be some stupid kids in a big group of people.
 
word, kid, word. at JOs at bachelor one year this guy from tahoe... whos name escapes me right now... won a slopestyle on the same day he won the slalom, between runs... at least im pretty sure thats how it went down. no more hate k?

theres the in bounds skiing ghetto stick (for the po) or legend pro (fo da rich), dakine pack with shovel and probe, ugly boeri helmet rocking wannabe big mt rider...

then theres your "BC" riding mountaineer with the naxos/diamirs riding the chairlift, clearly not trekking anywhere...

how bout this... skiing is rad, do what you want and dont hate, but always remember, people who are different than you are funny so laugh at them.
 
i'm an ex-racer and i'm a ski instructor so i can make money skiing. pretty cool. but my thing is freeskiing now. and that's it: like he said, most of good racers are very cool. only some stupid fucks who think they are cooler because they have the team's jacket are hateable.
 
i like to achieve faster times on my ar5s than some racer kids on there high professional race skis with their stiff concrete core and diamond edges, that is awesome, but most of them are cool and i have respect for them and the technique they have, i mean they just like it more than hitting rails or kickers.

and on my hill, most of the racers are the best pow riders, so its pretty intense.
 
Dominate? For sure there are some great ex racers, but ex mogul skiers are the main group of guys that kill it. Candide, Tanner, Pep, Abma, Bushfield, Sarah B, TJ, Henrik, etc, and originally Cusson, Auclair, Dorion, Douglas etc.
 
i dont really hate racers cuz one of my friends is one, but they usually act like they are better than freeskiirs and shit like that. and those spandex suits are so gay i cant even watch them race. moguls not included, those racers are the shit
 
alot of racers are really chill. but for the most part, the racers at my hill are really stuck up, with that whole "im better then you" attitude
 
the racers at my hill are all little kids who's parents all bought them park ski's and racing ski's. so on days there not racing they come into the park and hit the side of the jumps with thier gayper steeze.
 
i race for my school just cuz i get a free season pass to the hill and i just love skiing. but i freestyle any other day
 
ya i remember hearing about that. I'm pretty sure the kid was eric fisher. He's now on the US Ski team ripping.
 
I race on the side (for high school). most of the racers I know are cool kids, but I've met one or two who are cocky bitches. but it's the same with freeskiing, so no hate
 
Still racing, but living in whistler which means that for the last 3 weeks its been freeskiing not training, with all the snow we've been getting.
 
i do both, im the least cockiest racer ever, and like to label myself as a freeskier, i wear siver all the time, and like the freeski lifestyle
 
there is school ski racing near bristol and HV, some other parts od the state too but none of the athletic leagues in CNY offer alpine skiing
 
Around here high school racing is a joke, there are a few good kids and then it drops off a ton, the clubs thate race NYSSRA, USSA, and FIS are way more competitive.
 
I "race" with my school, but all we really do is sneek off and go hit the park. When we take our race run we're skiing our park skis in t-shirts for "aerodynamics"
 
^^Ya high school racing is a joke. Thats also where you get most of the stupid jackass racers that give the all the other racers a bad name.
 
i race... but i wouldnt consider myself i racer. i am racing on pollards and am doing it for garaunteed days on the hill/ meeting new people/ going on trips/ learning to actually ski instead of skidding around like all the park rats.
 
To all of you people who say o i race and freeride ,you are like i girl with a dick .....go fuck your self,ski racers are gunna be just like snowboard racers in 5 years in the deep deep shadow of the true sport!
 
thats bullshit, racing will always have a place in the sport no matter wat. racing inst as big in the US but wat about places in europe that will always have a racing culture. freestyle and racing are the same sport last time i checked races are still putting on skis and going down a hill they just do in a different way. skiers are completly diferent to snowboarders they were originally built as a freeride sport skiing wasnt. if u have no respect for races an the ability thta the have on the snow u are probably just a dirty little park rat so go fuck ureself
 
reggyboy dont even start to fucking put them in the same catagory! you say you want them to be the same sport.if you dont seporate them freestyle would have a idenity to the mainstream.....so you wouldent have to tell people you ski and they are like ooo and think o tight suits where you cant see the persons balls...no fuck you i ski big mountain just as hard as park and im better at it than you!
 
ok firstly how the fuck do u know u can ski better than me, i bet i can throw down better than u anywhere on the mountian. and u obviously cant fucking read either or have any sense of reasoning seeing as both an racer and a freeskier call themselves skiers. they definatly do have separate cultures.freestyling is too young to not be genaralised as its own i dentity by anyone outside the sport, that shit happens over time, it just happened quicker with freestyle snowboarders cause thats how their sport started. if u claim urself to be a big mountain skier then of course u would realise that the basic technique comes from racing and that 90% of the pro big mountain skiers are all ex races. hey and like most people im not into tite as race suits that show off peoples balls and thats why i dont race anymore. that pretty much covers ur imbred arguement or unless u want to tell wat exactle bout races that pisses u off...

yes body miller is a fag but does that mean all races are fags. im in aspen for the next two days but then i go back to australia so it probly aint worth comming all the way over he so i can whoop ur ass. name two jibbers that have gone to bigmountain without any race background and rip harder tha seth, hugo harrison, or jerimy nobis
 
none of those guys ski lines half as good as seth or the others i named. they hit botters in the back country sure but they dont ski the same amount of crzy lines that seth or hugo do and if u cant admit that ud have to be pretty fucking retarted
