Ski press

it will be tough be prepared to put in a lot more effort and money into it than you originally plan to. If you dedicated then go for it, if not don't bother.

Skibuilders.com
Its easier to get right into making your boards if you buy one. Read it up on there, then PM me if you're interested still, we've got stuff to help you.

i pressed a pair of skis last year in a shitty clamp press....tips were fine but the main part delaminated.

I am pressin a pair of snowblades right now because you can make a small inexpensive press for about 100 $ and get a good pair of funny skis

Sure this is a late post. but ya ski builders gat all the information you need. but getting supply's and tools is a complete hassle.

I am cureently making a press, and so far it's been a month and all i have done is a press frame, Bladder ( pneumatic ), a cat track and a PID controler for heat.. i am trying to buy a mold off some one on SkiBuilders.com/Forum. but no luck.

Scott/ Iggy Skier from On3p has a journal of how he started there.

Oh and if youre completely serious about getting this done, your gonna need to send about $800 on good tools.

Like your gonna need a Router, Jig Saw or BandSaw a Air compressor,a planer ( this makes it so much easier to profile cores ) and about 16' of fire hose

By the way, getting materials is perhaps the hardest part of the entire process. Since our company is in a weird "in between" of major manufacturer / small custom shop, give me a PM if you need help finding something specific, I might be able to help.

YYYYYESSSS

like i just finished getting a mold design out for a quote. but if turns up to be like 600 dolars to CNC it. im just gonna try to work it my self.

Warning: This will take you far, far longer than you think. skibuilders.com is the best and only resource for this as far as I know, EVERYTHING you need to know is on there.

ski builders has a legit store online where they sell fiberglass edges ptex and pretty much everything else, thats where i got my materials
