I have first year Salomon 1080's... they're like old school new school now. I need new boards and I've come down to these choices:

Volkl Pro V

Salomon 1080

Armada

Rossi Scratch

What's everyone's take on these. I mainly stick to the park (grew up in Minnesota now I'm in SoCal) but I dig riding the entire mountain from powder to groomed. But again, my main focus is park skills. I need a ski that can take a long beating. Battle away.

yeah this one time, I got really wasted, and took the most violent shit ever. serious. my ass and I fought for most of the night, but in the end I was vitorious, until that back stabber attacked after our treaty, and i had to get new boxers - lineskier03

Head Mojo...fucking sick ski

work to live...not live to work.

work to ski...but only if you ski to work. The simple equation to skibumming 101

unless someones skied all of those your gonna get a lot of biased opinions of what ski to get. Research the skis, look at the waist size, look at what terrain you ride, realize 1080s have a foam core, read reviews, look at prices, and come to a conclusion.

thank you.

volkl's will not dissapoint you

'I was in the waiting room of my doctor's office before a physical this morning. There's nothing wrong with me, but healthy people get physicals just-for-the-hey-of-it every couple of days. When they finally mispronounced my name, I got up and walked down a hall with a nurse. After a while, the doctor came in and inspected my holes. He said that I should lose weight and consider stop smoking. I blew smoke in his face and explained that he is a douche bag. We all had a good laugh and he agreed.' -Skydaddy

Thanks -

I used to live in Minnesota. Now I reside in Los Angeles (which half of it is currently on fire). So I'll be going back between good snow and shit snow. I'm probably going to go with the V's or the Armadas. I think a lighter ski will help my game.

i am not sure that the armadas or the v pros are your lightest choice? they are the stiffest of the four. if you are light and ski all mountain as well as park it is the 1080s you want if you are in the park most of the time i say check out the trouble makers from dynastar they are sick i have both the 1080 in a 171 and the trouble makers so that is what i would say

Well said Pat, and Moe... you're hilarious.

The Scratches tend to delam pretty quickly from what I've seen and heard.

Fuck 1080s. Yes, they do break easily.

Go with the Volkl V Pros. I've heard good things about them all around, and they should treat you well.

snow smells good to

uncle jemimas mash liqour it will fuck you up

All of those skis will be very good.

1080s have a foam core, so scratch those.

Armadas are GREAT skis, probably the nicest on the list, but truly all the skis are comparable. Get Armadas because it supports OUR sport, not racing.

actually its racing that helps to fund some of the freestyel prodcuts! many companies lose money on their freestyle ventures or just break even

Watch out for the space frame teneightys, they snap in half alot. Other than that, the other choices are money, you can't really go wrong with a stiff park ski.
