Lets let pole size equal P, tall tee size equal T, and height equal H. The equation for poles is represented by P= H - T this will give you the best performance when skiing.
People vary greatly on their wingspan (arm lengths). A 6' guy may need shorter poles than a 5'9' guy with long arms. This is not a question we can answer on the Internet without your wingspan and height measurements. Hold the poles upside down with your hands just under the baskets and get a feel for what is comfortable. Take a little off at a time.
