Can you make a pair of ski poles shorter?

What kind of question is that? Though you might have to take them to your ski shop to get the grips taken off. When i tried to get the grips off on my latest poles they wouldn't come off. But they will cut them down however short you wan't and if you can get the grips off do it yourself.

exactly right, depends on the pole though, some wont allow you to.
