Ski poles

if you buy the expensive poles you will be able to throw steezy cab cork 12 blunts and all the kids will like you
 
probably lighter in wieght, stronger in strength, bigger company name, features (baskets/grips etc.)

some poles are mad from carbon fiber now which is super strong/lightwieght but expensive
 
the more expensive ones are made out of higher quality aluminum. they can bend really far and spring back to there original shape. the cheap ones dont spring back. but sometimes you get lucky and find a pair for like 5 bucks thats better than any 60 dollar pair.
 
depends on what kinda pole it is, some cheap poles are stong, but yet, some are weak.
 
I was at steamboat and all we did was take poles from base of the gondola, they work just as well and they are free
 
what if im not such an aggressive skier on the mountain, because im not, not yet, so should i still get better poles?
 
i broke a pair of two dollar poles today pretty upset because i couldnt find any so i had to buy new ones...what a waste of 30 bucks
 
The price depends on the diffrent elements used. Stuff like graphite and composite is heavier but stronger and will not bend. Those are cheaper.

Carbon pole are really expensive and break real easiely.The advantage is that it is super light.
 
expensive ones have a better balance with the wrist when you ski like a instructor

and they dont bend as easy when u crash
 
i have goodes and ive landed on em a few times and they are fine they just bend when u land on them and go right back into place when u get off of them but i mean if i snap these doin like a butter and u land on it with it in ur hand or something they will break in half and spider all over but there only $30.
 
find the cheapest poles you can, and if you dont ski like a retard, you wont bend them, i have a pair of LOOK poles from like 1987 that i got at a ski swap for like 3 bucks, and that was 4 years ago, i traded grips with my dad, but no other problems with them, and they arent bent

there is no good reason to buy carbon fiber poles unless you race or really thing that the weight matters that much.

i know kids that ski under lifts just to pick up rental poles and use those
 
cheaper poles use cheaper materials. got to a ski swap and get 5 dollar poles that were pretty nice 5 years ago
 
ok. What I do now is i buy like 4 pairs of 15 dollar poles. I break poles regardless. Not in the park, but on bumps, cuz you will come up on one as u are goin down fast and its not where it should be and i throw all my weight on my poll and it bends a bunch. then i straighten it and use it until it snaps. maybe i should ski like bloom instead
 
carbon fiber definently breaks man...

and joysticks are tight. they look tight, so they are tight. the are very very durable aluminum. they will bend, not break, but it takes a lot of force because they are high end. carbon fibers shatter and crack.
 
the cheaper the poles the easier they will snap. most of the time cheap poles are made out of aluminum and if you bend aluminum and try to bend it back and it kinks, then your poles are useless. you are better off to buy some graphite poles. they might be a little expensive but they are very strong and flexible and they resist bending and snapping
 
they arent unsless after they kink when you have to rebend. they definently still work. my wooden bamboo poles, now those broke and are useless, but ive bent my scotts tons of times and they are fine.
 
dude, I bought the k2 enemey poles that were all gold and blingining, and they bend, but spring eight back into place, i've landed on them a ton and they hold up fine, go with some solid poles that cost a bit. goode's are good too.
 
yea aight. i c yer point. its just that i just went throught two pairs of scotts and they kinked and when i tried to get um bent back they just broke in half. i learned my lesson there.
 
just w/e u do, dont buy 20 dollar poles. i've already gone through 3 of the same brand and the bend and snap easy.
