"Ski Poles"?

Hey im 5 foot 10 inches, and when I measure myself in ski stance and boots on it seems like all the poles at getboards are to big for me?? I was thinking 120 was even big and thats there smallest size? They go up to like 130 what size should I get at my height? I was lookin at the salomon scarecrow pole are the 120's to big or am I stupid and should i get an even bigger size?

i'm 5'11' and i don't know about centimeters but my poles are 48 inches and thats what the guy at my shop said I should have. I think hes right.

My girlfriend told me to shove my skis up my ass
 
um lets see... 120cm=47.2 inches and 48 inches= 121.9cm so i guess 120cm would be good if I am 5'10' and you are 5'11'...... is this right people?

hey i still need more responses..... I bought the 120cm but now some cross country guy said they are to short, and I think they might be, they are already on there way in the mail though... so is this the right size... i really need to no, i never had poles cuz i skiboarded... also how much do u actually use the poles, i was watching propaganda and happy dayz over and over again and it seems like they never even touch the ground with there poles?

it depends what you like, and how often you ski bunps, my poles are bout 45' and im 5'9', the textbook way to size poles is to grab them by the basket, upside down, your arm should form a 90 angle with the ground, but i say it just depnds what you like

Well of course a x-country skiier is gonna tell you that, the poles they use are really tall.

good! so i made the right choice!! thanx, i also am always in a extremely knee bent position, cuz i played hockey for a long time so i have a habit...
