Ski pole to the chest?

so i was up at brighton today riding in their shitty park. i hit the lip popped a bit and i guess i just planted my pole and the handle just nailed my chest. it hurts like a bitch now and there are tons of red marks. has this happened to anyone else? and what did you do about it?
 
A college friend of my Mom's was skiing with her boyfriend in mammoth however many years ago (back when they were in college) and he fell onto the pointy side of the ski pole. it went through his heart and the friend of my mom watched her boyfriend bleed to death. imagine how gnarly that would be

that's the only other time I have heard of it. I have taken my pole to my fae and chin before. I drop them when I can now.
 
yeah that happened to me once, right in the sternum. i had a gnarly bruise for about a week and it was sooo sore
 
I took one to my neck and my chest. The one to my neck happened when I was skiing in really flat light and I hit a bump in the snow and I fell forward and my pole got stuck into the ground in front of me. It was scary.
 
ya one time at the end of the park all my frineds were sittin down waiting for me they were all boarders, so i got a bit of speed off last jump and went to spray them bad, and when i turned sideways i guess my pole planted and got stuck under my ski and i flipped over like twice and lost all my skis n everything, went from making them pist at me to laughing there asses off at me :(

but yea i owned my stomach with one once while i was really moving
i worried i had like internal bleeding for the next 2 days

and on another note, I was in brightons park for a little bit today and decided to hit that forum tap thingy and completely ran into it, I felt like such a gaper
 
i forget where i saw but some guy took a pole to his gut, cut open his skin and his intestines were hanging out. if i can find the pictures i will post them they weren't on ns
 
i got a pole to the head, bent the pole, and started to throw up... then just sat down in the lodge and took some asprin
 
My pole hit me right between the eyes... I was skiing a trail and I was going into the woods and my right ski hit a tree stump and my left foot was still moving to go and without noticing, I stuck my pole into the ground and it hit me right in the middle of my goggles. Sucked for me though cause I wear glasses and my frames got all bent from the impact.
 
i hit killingtons dfd and fell of the side a little back seat cause i took to much speed into it. so i catch my pole in between the rail and ground and pull my arm so hard i thought it was ganna fall off

ive also had a freinds pole hit me in the tooth knock the middle on out. i have a picture somewhere but im not very good at posting those shits
 
Word I used to have 46 inch poles and I got chest shots every now and then. Now I am on like 40 inch poles and they never do that and I think it helps my style.
 
took one in the neck once when i was messing around skiing out of the park last year, i now have very short poles and often ski no poles
 
Same thing happened to me this week. I did little 180 off of a small knoll and somehow caught my pole. I then got speared in the face with the handle, now it looks like i lost a fight with a black man.
 
my friend got his wrist stabbed with a pole and his arm sliced open from a ski edge. gaper didnt scout the landing when we said he was down
 
i've clocked myself in the jaw a few times getting on lifts when your pole sticks in the ground and the chair swings forward and bam looks like i got socked in the face
 
I've taken a poll to the chest before during a race doing about 30 mph. I ended up with 3 cracked ribs, but there's nothing you can do about it except ice it and not take any aggressive chances.

If you think you might be in my situation, go have a doctor check it out. You don't want to make it worse.
 
ive taken a pole to my nuts twice. one was oversotating a spin and the other was in a liftline.

my friends dad was skiing with his buddy and he hit a jump and put his ski bole right through his boot.
 
earlier this week i was bending over to put a strap down on my boot and i wasn't paying attention to my poles. and one came out and drilled me in the testicles
