Ski Pole Question

okay so , this happened a while back,, and its puzzled me ever since, so I thought Id finally see what you guys think. So last summer I had a pair of rental ski poles from hill that I just ended up keepin, they just stayed in my room. So opening day of just this previous season, Im usin these poles that ive had all summer, and I keep seein this black shit on my gloves..then I look down, and the bottom of my jacket has this black shit on it from wher my poles have been touching my jacket. and im like wat the fuck. Its like the pole grips were melting..cud them being indoors for all that time then going into a cold climate make them do this? Idk, but does anybody have any ideas on why they did that.

spark notes: had poles all summer, first day of season they like melted and got rubber all over me.

haha... that sucks big time.. they shouldn't be melting ;P Never heard of this before actually... maybe its just something wrong with the poles...

Idk guys, they are GOODE poles, quality shiz haha, but really tho I wouldnt think the handles would just like..melt..in cold condition.

well they are rental poles..... although i have never heard of pole handles actuallly melting. its prolly just some cheap ass plastic. or maybe they just had black shit on them???.... who knows. get some new poles that arent rental yo.

Its a built-in security, rental poles start to desintegrate when they aren't returned to the shop, its completely normal....

haha, ya, ive got some more sitting in my room now, I wonder if they'll do it again..lol, ya Idk i just dont feel like buyin poles, cuz then i sometimes dont no wat to do with em, and they seem easiily jackable. I usually dont steal the rental poles..I always give em back, so ill just put the ones I have now bak at begin of next season then grab another set. oh well..iza mystery.

It could be the metal man, using metal brushes on a drum kit rubs off black shit all over the top. I've got some black dust type of stuff from metal before on my hands, so that could be what ur getting. Not sure why exactly this happens, but I doubt the rubber would be melting. But if ur sure its rubber, then I have no idea...

Damn that's crazy. Did they actually melt? Are the grips like mis-shapped now? Or does it just look like die is just coming off of them? The only logical thing I can think of is that Goode died the grip after injection molding instead of during the molding process and maybe they didn't treat the grip after and because of that the die could be some how rubbing off onto your shit.

^^ that sounds like what happened. Cuz they didnt melt melt..just shit was rubbin off of em. black shit..onto me.
