Ok, I know there is a thread about this one, but I'm making another. I watched 2 seasons of this last night, and it made skiing look sooo dumb. Some of their attempts at tricks were awful, and makes me wonder how they made it onto that show. There was one with a bunch of amatures and it sucked. And sure Nick Mercon is sorta sick, but he pissed me off sooooo much. Spriggs tosses a corked 9, leading mute/safety off the 75 footer, and Mercon bitches how he missed the grab, then goes up and does something oldschool that no one else can do because they weren't shredding in the 90's.... He did a switch 180 screamin seaman daffy. All the shit he did was super oldschool, and not progressive at all. He actually regressed, and it made me mad. And he kept doing his switch misty nine in the most recent season. IT was cool to do it once, but not like 3 times in a row after you see that people can't do it. Oh well, this show is a neat concept, and the one with Hibbert, Michael Olenick, T$, and Woods was pretty sick, until Tanner got wrecked.

IF you have a chance watch these shows, then come speak your mind. My friend saved them on some channel called Voom.

so nick mercon didn't do something that you though was cool he didnt progress or anything but really spriggs wasnt exactly progressing either, a corked 9? ya thats never been done

personally i would rather see a switch one screamin but i have never seen this show so i can only formulate my opinion off of what you have just said and that also was in no way an attack on spriggs, i just watched corduroy yseterday and i thought he had one of the best segments in there
 
You kids need to quit worrying about progression so much. A lot of people just like to go out and have fun when they're skiing.
 
Yes, voom is the high def channel. And i'm not worried about progression.... That show looked like it could be some fun, but Mercon was a total dick about everything. It was stupid. Sure a switch 180 screamin seaman is cool, but not a few times in a row, just to win. Make it cool and fun, not the same thing over and over. They had one with Tanner, Mike Olenick, Hibbert and Woods and it was sorta sick. Nobody was bitching and it looked chill.

 
i never herd of this show, but me and my friends will play pig on a rail at our mountain sometimes.
 
yeah the show is whack. it has soo much potential... but the hosts and skiers just werent meant to do this sorta thing. but if u have the chance to watch it, you still should.
 
rich buddy, you complained a tad bit much about that...just be psyched that there is a whole channel out there dedicated to showing some rad shows...have you watched all the other skiing stuff they have on there? its sick! and i really do think that mercons trick would be a sweet trick in a game of pig, you gotta have some creative stuff to win that thing son.
 
I thought this show was pretty sick, that channel is definately the best channel ever made.

For those of you who don't know its a voom HD station, can't get it unless you have an HD TV. Actual channel is called Rushhd, I have it on Dish network but I think you can get it from comcast, and all those other cable, satelite providers.
 
illin. i turned on the tv about a week ago and realized theres a channel that shows freestyle movies like all day in the winter. i never watch tv though but thats rad

180 Screamin' Semen is SICK. You hit your tips topgether on the crossover and you're toast. Don't pull out of the cross and you're going to be ragdolling like crazy.

Don't hate on the classics.

how many corked 9s do you see a year? 50? 100? How many sw 180 screamings do you see?

Rather see something that isnt being done all the time
 
the one on yesterday was priceless... nick mercon, GT, CB-4, and Travis Redd. in the intro, it is a voice over of mercon, saying, "yea, i do technical moves, like holding grabs through the rotation," as he does a 720 with a boot slap. hahahahah. The trick was a zero spin for Nick Mercon, and he goes, okay, ill do it switch, with a screamin seamen to a mute grab.
 
haha if I ever made it to a show all I would do is screamins and mad goober shit too.

If anything he is showing our sport isn't about doing the latest greatest, but instead having fun.
