alright i dunno about all of ur hills, but on mine ski patrol is the most annoying thing.. we get yelled at for sprayin people... going to fast.. " out of control"

yesterday I helped teach a telemarking ski patrol how to grind... most of the patrollers at my hill are pretty chill, because we know most of them personally, and ride with them once in a while...

yeah we have like one or 2 that ride the park but besides that these guys just seem to be out there to piss us off

i like ours and everyone who hates what ski patrolers do if they didnt keep things that we do safe and stuff no one would come to your mountain there for since no one came to your mountain you would have a piece of shit park so think about it..

I do.

Cause if some crazy shit happens, and i need help, there going to be the ones saving my life.

I like them when they are helping me down the mountain after i was knocked out for a couple mins. But i dont like them when they yell at me cause i can go faster than them, switch, down the hill.

the ones at alpental are the shit in washington... cool guys. They give a blind eye to ride bc when its closed if you ask them before you go and if its obviously not crazy unstable.

I like ski patrol, cause they have pulled my broken ass of the mountian a few times, yeah they do inforce rules and some do tend to go on power trips, but they are people and are cool with you if you are cool with them usually.

Sometimes some of them can be dicks, but honestly i'm really glad they're there b/c if someone gets hurt bad, they'll be there and know what to do.

I like skiing in a war-zone on a powder day. I have ski patrol to give that credit to.

Oh yeah; not dying in an avie when I'm skiing in-bounds is nice, too.

That, and red jackets rock. fuck yeah.

my chemistry teacher last year was/is a patroller at alpental. he's a crazy ponytailed, hippy, chemist, ski junky dude. he'd tell us stories about doing avalanche control with vintage rifles, etc..

Without ski patrol at alta, I would be getting buried inbounds on a daily basis probably, who else wants to drag my carcass down the hill after a bad crash. I love patrol.

Snowbirds patrol is alright they will get mad at you for going to fast. But i have never gotten my pass taken away.

last year at creek there was a screwed up jump my friend threw a 3 off it landed in the flat and bashed his face on his knees blood everywhere broken nose we went to get ski patrol then we took the lift up again to go by him ski patrol never showed up luckily we found tissues laying right next to him but really they got to do their job

patrolers are like police, you hate them when they catch you doing something.... but you love them when they get your car back or drag you down the mountain to repair you

yea theyre different at each place pretty much. some places they are cool as hell and will ski closed trails with you, other places they can be like nazis

Yeah they're mostly chill, but when I was in aspen 2 years ago I met a reaaal bitch! Old fuckin bitch...haha! But It was pretty fun. She almost took our tickets and we almost gonna be locked up. HAHA

there doin there jobs. theres gonna be sucky ones just like there are sucky people in everything they just have the power to do somethin. meetin em is definatley the best. my pals dad is pretty up there in ski patrol so they let us be but screw the trouts over.

Ski patrolers are just skiiers with a responsability, their are te good and the bad, the nice and the mean, and the chill and the ones with a big stick stuck up their ass. Most of the people on this site, however dont really understand the responsibility and dificulty of patroling. First one if some one gets hurt you have to help them even if they are not that hurt. Second the safty of everyone on the hill is your responsiblity. Third if some one gets stuck some where you have to go help them even if it is on the steepest nerrowist chute on bullet proof ice, in or out of bounds. Fourth, you need to check all slopes for stabaility, and are offten required to ski a area of un known conditions. Fith on a pow day you are usualy bombing not skiing. and Just amagin if you were a patroler and its a pow day and all the snow is stable, intire mountain is open and you have to help the idiot kid who hurt him self in the park. by the time you are done the intire mountain is skied off. Now how would you act when some smart ass twin tip skiier just goes flying down the mountain.

need to keep people like this safe

some are dicks but the females are usually nice and motherly and some are hot! I jacked my shit up and accidentally yelled at this cute chic patroller, I was pissed I fell not at her, had to track her down and say sorry I felt so bad... bottom line they are there to help in most cases, if you get yelled at for spraying people... are you kidding? if you sprayed me I'd prolly chase ya down and rip you a new one before patrol got a chance...

word.....plus i have been skiing alot more then the all the ski patrolers at my hill....they give me respect....and i give them repect. They know what i can do on skis...soo they don't really yell at me.

i hit a tree when i was 7 or 8, and the ski patrol guy came and asked me if i had any bark in my nose. i think loon should smarter ski patrols.

im not gonna go as far as to shit talk on east coast patrollers like ^ but i will kinda agree that ski partollers at big west resorts are a lot more hardcore.

I like some of them. The other day I rode up the lift with this really chill dude that was telling me about patrolling and shit. Really layed back guy that just wanted to ski and be happy. It seems like the only ones that are dicks are the old guys that can't ski like the used to and take it out on the ones that can.

^ YES!!!!!!!! exactly. ski patrol is there to keep the hill safe and in order. i remember straight lining a run next to a patroller. They claimed me coz i had their favorite skis on. You have to respect them.

I got a concussion 2 weeks ago and was knocked out cold for 4 minutes until a bunch of them ran up the hill and yelled at me to wake up and then took real good care of my head which was hurtin' like a bitch. No complaints here, they do their job here and usually don't get pissy about anything.

Here at CB, they get things open fast and they are some really great skiers, seriously half of CB's patrollers could be sponsored skiers (some are I think)

yeah fore sure. respect people that you might need to save your life.

ski patrol isnt usually that bad but like people who just work for the mountain (aka the yellow jackets at keystone) suck.

luckly ive never got yelled at them yet for screwin round but i dono cuz ive like done alot by them like goin cuttin threw the woods right next to them and i never get yelled at but theyve helped out my friends out like when my friend broke his collar bone. i say around here theyre alright.
