SKI PATROL= ASSHOLES ON WHEELS

we jumped onto a rail at the top of our mtn next to a little hut, a ski patroller threatened to make us watch saftey videos, we laughed
 
Yeah not all patrollers are cool. just like with anything, even freeskiers, there are some assholes out there that ruin it for everyone.

I'm getting ready to take my Nat Reg to get certified so I can be a troller. I wouldn't be dick like this guy I asure you. Just don't want peepl to think that all patrolers are dicks.

what mt. was it at and what was his name?
 
that sucks the ski patrol only go one the family trail where i ski so i dont get botherd with them assholes
 
Don't be hatin' on the ski patrol... my whole family is on it, and my bro's got twins and he skis backwarks and helps kids learn how to newschool it... Some are stupid, yea, but still, what they do for the public is pretty amazing. Most people are VOLUNTEER ski patrol, as in their OWN time, and are nice people. We save lives, too.. the other weekend a lady had a heart attack in the parking lot, and i called 911 on it. If the ski patrol hadn't been there, she would have been dead in a matter of time. Next time, it could be you.
 
there was five of us in a small trail in the woods that goes down the side of a run and a patroller saw us go in. he knew where the regular exit was so he sat there watching up the hill. then we saw him waiting so we walked throught the woods down the hill a little more where there was another trail in the woods and fallowed it. he went down even further and watched but he finally gave up and skied a way.
 
if it wasn't for ski patrol you little faggots would be still lying on the ground with broken bones after you bailed trying a monkey steeze 5. You don't understand the role ski patrol play in the runnings of a ski resort.

It sucks you got hurt, but I'm 100% sure he did not mean to do it.. he got hurt too. No ones perfect and shit happens. But he was being an ass so whatever, just stay cool. I patrol and we're pretty chill about things but I hate when people duck ropes on in area runs that are closed. Today some kids did and I let them know that there were EXPOSED 480 VOLT lines in those runs for snow making and they were like 'holly shit, thanks'. Just stay cool and dont let pricks get you down.

Patrol can be assholes, but they are the ones you need to thank when you bust your shit up and cant think straight or move. A nessisary evil.
 
this thread is radical these stories are awsome. "sorry boys you have to ruin the jump unless i can hit it". my ski patrollers are more like: hey whos that? oh its just some patrollers getting high in the bush
 
i hate ski patrols half them can ski and the other half are assholes i have had some bad experiences with them ive been kicked off the same mtn 2 times for a month and had my pass cut so many time
 
theres no way i would let ski patrol take my pass no matter what. it's not like they can lay a finger on you.
 
Amperage, not voltage, is what kills you dumbass. Even if you did manage to slice through the braided outer layer you would also have to be grounded to the water on the inside. Also its 440 volt if you're on 3phase power whitch you are. Even having said that i agree that kids ducjing ropes suck. if one did get hurt you have to do like 5 times as much work to even get them out.

I also agree that it wasn't his intention to hit me which is why i didn't try to make his situation worse. I am friends with two patrollers at this mountain who are chill but the vast majority are a pack of macho 80s leftovers who make insensitive comments about suicide and gays.
 
one time some ski po bitch at Okemo tried to take my pass for my knocking down a fence so that i could jib this roof and she reached for it and i slapped her hand away and was like nigga please and the skied away
 
Dam, thats exactly what happened to me last season. But it was a retard snowboarder instead of a patroller. He came in from the side side on my blind side, outta control, and I nailed him. He was ok, but I broke my clavicle too.
 
at my mtn its pretty much the same shit: powder like crazy, they open none of the trails because ''its to dangerous" ( im in the east) i ski in the closed slopes, then my boss is angry ( im an instructor) and the gayest ski patrol ever: he was waiting down a 5 meter trail connecting 2 slopes with his ski-doo waiting for kids looking for some fun to use his power on, another ordered 2 tractors to groom a small kiker we made this powder day, and another one stops us because we jumped on the side of a slope and shit talked about danger and whatev for an hour...wow a kosack, thats sooooooooo dangerous...probably because its oldschool, but the worst thing is: THEY ARE NOT EVEN PAID and they sit on their snowmobile to catch kids during a powder day wich is once or twice a year at my mtn...
 
That's rediculous. He was probably older. They don't seem to get the whole new way of skiing. But on the same subject, last year I was skiing at a small midwest resort. But anyways...I was sitting to gain speed for a lip I was gonna hit and about 40 ft before it a SNOWBOARD patrolman carves 10 feet out of his way to tear up the tips of my skis. So he fell and even though I know he did it on purpose I still went to see if he was alright and whatever. Now the thing that gets me is I go to help and he starts saying I don't know what I'm doing and I'm obviously not good enough to do jumps. He said that sitting will make me lose control. And then I asked him what a snowboarder would know about skiing and he just got up and went down like he didn't hear me. It's rediculous...I know alot of ski patrolers that are so chill and just don't care but some are just assholes that think they own the hill just cause someone told them they have some authority.
 
Only time i've ever had a run in with the Ski Patrol was when i was skiing out of bounds at night while drunk, without a pass. Needless to say, he wasn't very happy with me. So he took my skiis. However, being drunk at the time, i figured i could just bribe the guy at the desk 20 bucks to give them back, and it worked.

ski patrol are usually super chill up at Whistler, those yellow speed safety guys are funny though. however, i was on the runout from the park and i hoped switch on this flat trail and was doing a couple carves and this guy in a bright blue one piece shouted "WATCH WHERE YOURE GOING, CAN'T YOU STAY IN CONTROL?!" my little 12 year old cousin who is the dopest kid ever just kinda rolls up beside him and is like "fuuuuuuuccckk yooooouuuuu" in his best stoner drawl ever. it was priceless
 
yo we dont have ski patrol in our park we have a park crew and there all dope, occasionally some fagget ski patrol come through but not often the last time they did the asshole was yelling at me for hiking and i didnt understand cause i wasnt near anything so i moved to some other spot and he hit the side of the jump did a spread eagle into the biggest yardsale of the year. The best part about it was our mountain is ice covered only so i just watched him go and god only knows when he finally stopped
 
at my local resort u can pretty much go as fast as you wand and nobody relly cares. like today i was just stait lineing half the day and ski patrolers were just waching and not caring.
 
yeah dude that sucks, most of the partollers i'v erun into have been pretty chill this one time this guys was like bein an ass and like threatening to take away my seasons pass and then like all of the sudden he just like eases off and doesnt give a shit, it turns out the head ski patroller was skiing right behind him when he was yelling at me
 
last winter a ski patroler was giving some kid a talk about how to properly get on a lift, about 2 min later that patroller gets on the lift, catches his tips on a chunck of ice and fell face first off the lift
 
ski patrol doesn't set foot in my park, its like gang wars, except we allready won, and the other gang (ski patro) is really scared and just try and beat up on lesser non-gang members a.k.a. the 6 yr old bear cub skiers causing a rukus by dropping their poles of the lift and giggling, and when they get brave they take on the people who don't put their bar down
 
id roll up to that fuckers house 30 deep with baseball bats. ski seasons are not a bargaining chip, but his ribs are.
 
because skiing needs to be associated with violence....Well the ski patrollers most people profile as assholes all seem to be on lunitic power trips. seriously the 6 year olds just become 16 year olds and disregard everything some asshole told them when they were little. SKI PATROL, SHOW SOME RESPECT
