Yesterday i was at my tiny local mountian where i have skiied for my entire life. Everyone in the office and attending the lifts know me. As i was cruising switch in my bright pink jump suit a ski patrol dude hit a patch of ice and smashed into me from my blind side. He was skiing out of control like a retard and treid to blame the whole thing on me because i was being so reckless skiing backwards. He treid to take my pass with his good hand (he broke two bones in his left hand and broke my clavicle) and tried to have me reported to the cops as a "menace to society." My first reaction was to apologize and help him up but the fucker started screaming at me so now he probably has no job and a broken metacarpal. Now i'm done skiing for anywhere from one month to three cause of this moron on a power trip. Now im stuck in bed ranting on NS. Moral: Fuck ski patrol. If they aren't better skiiers than most of the mountain they shouldn't have a job protecting people. I'm sure many do their jobs competantly and well but there is no reason why some idiot with little judgement and stability should be given a job like that.
 
yesterday i had an expierence w/ a ski partrol faggot too....me and my friends are comming down to a lift and we are skiing fast but under control and looking quite good if i mite add...and the douche bag ski patrol guy comes up to us in line and tells us that if we dont stop skiing out of control and fast then he will take our lift tickets...so 2 of my friends get on the lift and me and my bro are still there..and the guy keeps talking so i tell him to shut up and that we are better then most of the kids out here..so then he told me to wait up top so i had another run left after he took my lift ticket...so i wait up top and he goes through his hole talk again...(getting very annoying) so then he asks if i was a season pass holder..which i was and he threatened to also take that away..but after a while he let us go and prolly felt like an idiot once he saw us go down through the park
 
i saw a ski patroll eye me skiing switch, then he purposely stoped in my blind spot to see if i could see him, (probably thinking i'd cut super close if not crash in to him, then he could yell at me) but i swiched shoulders and just carved the nicest arc right past him.

btw I'm really sorry bout the asshat ski patroler. i bet you could go to the mountain and get him kicked off, most of the time ski patroll ski free, but without pay so you could possibly get them to tell him he's not welcome at the mountain anymore
 
that sounds shitty, but I hope no one gets the impression that all ski patrolers are dicks. Just like everday skiers on the mountain there are assholes in ski patrol too.

Indeed... Yesterday there was some relative "powder" here in Quebec, which is a miracle. In the afternoon the park was getting disgusting so a few of my friends and I head out to do a some runs. At one point we branch out into a closed run, just because it was full of powder, and ski patrols were waiting for us on the other side. Had we been younger we might have tried to run for it, but we just stopped and they clipped our tickets. Bastards.
 
that sucks i appreciate how you are not mad at all because they are just doing their jobs but this guy sounds like a failure hope yoiu can get back on the hill soon
 
Most ski partolers I've had encounters with have been chill

ex. My buddy and I were skiing to the lift, and this guy comes out of no where and my buddy smashes into him, giving him minor whiplash. The guys like screaming and like "I was just riding along peacefully" and whatever... so we like... left.

Anywho at lunch this ski patrol lady saw us in the luchroom and was like "I'm sorry to bother you, but we need you to come down and make a statement. We realise it probably wasn't your fault, but it's procedure" so my buddy makes a statement and we go skiing again. No trouble or nothin.
 
yea usually when its close to closing and im hiking up the park right when i get to the top ski patrol says i have to go back down.

nah fuck you i didn't hike this to be sent down empty handed.

i just say one more and they back off. and when the french ski patrol notice i speak english they mutter something in french to eachother. motherfucks.
 
That sucks man.

This one time at Gore, they groomed Rumor, so I arced like 4 turns down the entire trail and when I got to the bottom, ski patrol was like, "Umm wow, that was impressive, but with that speed you had you would have killed someone if they came around the corner."
 
yeh the ass fucks sometimes but i got back at them one time so badly. it was at my home mountain and there was this one asshole ski patroller who thought he was the man and was skiing down and he sucks balls and i was going switch and i started to go past him so he got in a tuck and ate shit on this little bump and i just flew by him switch laughing
 
yea they can never grasp the fact it is possiable to ski switch and carve while still being in control.

Thats the exact kind of person im talking about. the ones you can hear from the lift making off color jokes about sensiive topics to seem macho and shit.
 
that really blows....hopefully that guys homeless by now. i made a kicker into some powder with buddies, and a ski patrol guy came over and told us to stop jumping off it, it sucked cuz it was a nice kicker. but most patrollers are chill
 
When I was at Hood a few years ago, some dudes had built a pretty big jump inbounds, but on an outback trail that not many people ski on. I asked them if I could hit it with them, and that were chill and said OK. So we hit it for a while, then this ski patroller came up and looked very stern and mad and said something like "what you kids got there? You know, that's a hazard." The kids that built it were getting scared and pissed, because they had put so much work into it. The patroler then said, "Sorry boys, I'm going to have to tear it down, unless you let me hit it once." They were like, fuck yeah dude, go for it. He was hilarious, he tried a huge backflip like 3 times and ate shit each time. When he was done he said thanks and skied off.
 
may I ask who was in front or closest to the bottom of the hill, because last time I checked it was the guy in front who always had the right of way, if he was coming up on you from behind it is his and only his fault
 
I got a good one, last time was my first time at a new mountain and i had to pee as all hell. so im skiing in these galdes and behind one of those huts were people hang out (except no one actually hangs out in them, and behind it i found a bunch of yellow snow, so i figure here is a good spot to go, then like 20 seconds l8r a ski patrol sees my skis and he decides to wait for me (i guess ur not suppose to pee on the mountain), so i decide to wait cause i don't wanna have my pass clipped after hittin' 3 runs, and this was a season one too, so after about a minute i come out and i tell him thet my undies were ridin' up on me, he says " oh yeah that heppens to me all the time" and skis away. how great is that.
 
and another one, early season and my bro is building a jump cause the park isn't up yet. and this patrol comes by and asks what he is doing, now these guys are pretty nice so he probably would've gotten away wit' just sayin' "oh sry well get rid' of it" but no, my bro sarcastically says "building a snow man," and gets are passes clipped for that, so i guess they're not so nice...
 
i hear you we alwise piss the ski patrol off and get them to chase us for fun haha they suck so much just ditch into the trees and you will never get caught

I think most ski patrolers are nice and do their job well, but there are a few who take it a bit too far. Two years ago I was night skiing at a nearby mountian. Theres this kid snowplowing his ass down the trail and decides to fall in front of me. Well I stopped on a dime to avoid hitting him and you all know what happens when you stop suddenly...the kid got a good faceshot and started crying. Now it turns out this kid is the son of a ski patroler and bitches to his dad and I had to sit on a little bench by the first aid station for a half an hour. When I was done doing my time, I waited for my friend to finish his run and met him in the lift line. So we go up the lift and on the last pole before the top station we lift the bar up. So im standing around waiting for my friend to strap into his board and mister ski patroler comes up to us and says we lifted the bar up too soon and clipped our tickets and gave us a black mark on our season night pass. What a dumbass...
 
This is something I found funny. Well the mountian just got a good dump of like 1.5 feet on the second week since the mountian opened. There was no base under the powder and this is on an East Coast mountian so its the good old trail format. There are also snowguns there and they need hoses, so the hoses are run across the trails. Well my friend's friend from school's friend is a ski patroler. (snowboard patroler if you want to get technical) His duty for the day was to hide in a patch of trees and wait for kids to come on this closed trail. Theres these little boarders that went on it ans he sneaks out like some wild animal and starts the chase. Lucky for me and my friend, we were on the lift to see it and we cheered him on. These boarders were going like mad from the partoler and ran right under a snowgun hose and flipped and rolled down the hill and then the partoller did the same thing and landed on the kid and it was funny as shit. Then the kid got up and managed to get away before the patroler got up.
 
i almost never see our ski patrol unless there helping someone that got hurt. we have a buncha "speed patrollers" that think they are just hot shit.
 
so he was coming from behind, then came from the side and hit you? if so then its still his fault, he has to be the one in front to have any rights, this guy is a dick.
 
haha, yea copper has these guys with jackets that say, "trail control" or some shit, they just stand on the run with their skis off and wave at you if you go to fast, i just ignore them - they don't even carry radios.
 
ok today we had only one park with rails in it....i roll up to hit the park and its fucking shut down cause the ski instructors were trying to teach each other how to slide rails....and these are 5 ft long 2 inches off the ground maaaaybe.

really pissed me off
 
yea the sucky thing about at my home mountain....hill...is that i can get down in like 30 seconds so wen it comes to skiing away from the ski patrol and making them chase u...im kinda screwed cuz if theres a lift line..they will find me
