Ski pass cost per season/day?

How much you paying for a whole season?

In the EU i pay like 500-1000 for a season pass for different mountains or 50-75 for a day.

Wondering if NA is really as expensive as i heard.

Do you really pay 150$+ for a day of skiing?
 
There is cheap skiing in NA. I pay 330$ for the entire season, but it's a 300 foot hill lmao

Yeah i could google the prices but im wondering if everyone on here actually pays that much. Probably shouldve worded it differently
 
I just re-upped for next season. For my adult pass blacked out between christmas and New years was $579 Canadian or about $425 USD.
 
I pay around $850 each for a Snowbird pass and an IKON pass. That's with a hefty student discount. I think they're around $1200 each normally

I hate this response. People make threads on NS because they want to know what other park skiers think or in this case pay for passes. When you google something you get answers from a bunch of kooks and jerries from Reddit

I ski at smaller hills, 430 for a season pass that gets me half off on day passes at a bunch of other places so those are usually like 20 bucks
 
Smaller hills are cheaper and sometimes have deals. Usually pretty locked down to work at one place but if close enough to others I'll go. Had a season pass to a non vail mtn whem i lived in tahoe just to have non work shredding.

But yeah most people, at least NS for sure arent paying $200 a day riding places. Idk the era of the mega ski corp kinds blows but such is life.

I paid $370 for Keystone pass and 13 days so far so about $28.50/day.

$649 for Loveland pass this year (they need to chill with these price increases lately). Gone about 10 days or so so $65/day-ish

Oh and hit Ruby Hill a few times for $0/day

Wow, 89 resort days in LCC is impressive. Especially with the traffic last season. I like sleeping in too much and basically gave up on skiing Saturdays last year

I bought 3 passes this year

Diamond Peak pass $358

Epic Tahoe pass $588

Mt Rose pass $633

total of $1,579

I'll get probably 75-80 days total at the resort, so about $20/day on average. If we'd had a better start to the winter, i probably would have been closer to 100 days but it was very depressing for the first couple months.

don't think I'll have purchased any single day tickets but here is what they cost where i ski-

diamond peak: $140-175 depending on weekday/weekend/peak

northstar: $219 midweek, $240 weekend (surely higher during peak periods)

kirkwood: $159 currently

mt rose: $159-169

as far as i can tell, the resorts are trying to encourage people to buy season passes as opposed to showing up to buy day tickets. i think they like to get some of that revenue during the summer/fall when passes are on sale and then get all that winter revenue for lessons, food/beverage, etc. they're happy to sell day tickets for $150-300 if that's what works for the occasional guest but obviously if you're going more than 4-5 times in a season, buying a pass is almost certainly a better deal.
 
TLDR it really depends when and where you buy for North America!! You can stay under $150 a day though for sure.

My local is Mount St. Louis Moonstone (MSLM) in Ontario Canada. The Gold Podium Pass allows you unlimited access, any day or night, no blackouts etc. The base price at early bird pricing, before taxes and insurance and processing fees has been (in CAD):

2022 - $560.00

2023 - $635.00

2024 - $720.00

So a 13% increase each year for those years I have bought it. An adult day ticket is $92.00 in 2024, so as long as you ski at least 7 times a season you are making the pass worth it. For me its about getting in more ski days, and the flexibility to target the best conditions.

You can ski for less than $100 a day at some locations if you buy months in advance, taking a gamble on conditions. For example I skied at Sugarloaf in Maine, USA for five days for $153.00 USD by buying tix in October. Beat the December floods by a week...

Five days at RED in BC late January this year was $553.35: $140.70 for the Lake Louise Plus Card which gets you day 1 and 4 free, then 3 x $137.55 for the other three days.

Whitewater was $104.74 CAD for a day ticket in 2023. Compare that to ON terrain and you are absolutely getting your money's worth.

Supplement with touring passes/trips to reduce costs even more...
 
I got 2 passes for 800 with tax and spent 400 on 6 days in Europe. Hoping to get high 60s for days this year so roughly 18 a day including euro trip but more like 12 without.

I was able to ski 4 days a week at an old job and then I was laid off with severance in Feb so it's pretty abnormal to get that for me. Usually I'm more like 60-80 days
 
Paid 1380 for adult pass at alta

currently at 62 days - Thats 22 dollars a day

day ticket prices range from 150 -> 250 I think.

we all lose on gas prices tho i swear to god to drive up/down from my house is 1/3 of a tank. 5 gallons lets say at 3 bucks a gallon thats an extra 15 dollars a day
 
Ikon base for ~850$. Got 45 days at eldo plus 5 more at Abasin, copper, winter park etc. thats around 17$ per day of skiing, and I can’t drive yet so it’s bus or carpool to get there. Proud to say i haven’t bought a single resort meal this season
 
Resort meals are death man, shit got so expensive

I'm on Ikon this year but I still pay to ski other resorts sometimes. I usually get buddy passes but I'm still paying nearly $200/day at these places. Every time I'm breaking out the pocketbook I think about my touring setup sitting at home and wonder if it's think about me back

not sure where Rparr rides but i think he’s in ohio, but there’s a 300ft hill in ohio with a super nice park, like 350-400 a season, park stays updated and refreshed

My season pass was roughly 500 and I have 40+ days there and will prolly end the season wit 60 days. Thats like 9 dollars a day. A day pass is around 120
