Ski pant necessities

Yo! I have been making ski pants lately and it has got me thinking about what I want in a pair of ski pants. What are the things / features you guys want to see in ski pants?

for sure strong cuffs and maybe some reinforcement around the ankle area to prevent edges slicing em open, other than that, pockets that seal/zip and enough material in the crotch that they don't rip when you take a tumble.

A bib with a pocket that is easy to wash with dish soap. I ski with a lot of tangerines and loose snacks.

My old saga bibs had that pocket and they got showered w vape juice every time I went skiing

Reinforcement on the inner sides at the bottom for sure, I had pants without and they got so torn up that snow would get in and at the end of the day it looked like I was wearing bell bottoms. Reinforcement on the knees would be fire too. Removable bibs are fire so you can have the option, and jacket-pants connectivity is dope too for real deep days. I like hand pockets and then cargo pockets towards the knees. Little hooks that keep the elastic over your boots is sick too. I used to have these Quiksilver pants that weren’t bibs, but they had an internal snow skirt. So you would put the pants on, then the snow skirt would come up above the waistline of the pants and was elastic so if you ate it while wearing a hoodie or something snow still couldn’t get in.

I really like full length or near full length putter zippers. Makes getting the pant on and off a cake walk. Also I unzip past the knee when putting on and off my boots so that they are not in the way and constricting. This goes doeble for the fact that I wear a knee brace after a rebuilt ACL. I can always be found with them unzipped at lunch to dump an heat or moisture built up.

Pocket zippers that "zip down" this helps keep your stuff in your pockets. One thigh cargo pocket and an in pocket lanyard somewhere for a key to be securly held (I lost a rental car key at Kirkwood in the middle of a snowstorm once, knew it fell out but still couldn't find it)

Reinforced cuffs that come up about 8 in on the inside of your leg, most common wear point of my pants.

You’ve got some sick stuff on your site. I like the pants and agree some sort of bib option would be universally loved.

make me some pants. Pockets are important but no back pocket. I never ever use the back pocket on snow pants. Pockets should all zip and be big enough to zip with a water bottle inside. a good clip inside the pocket for keys is a nice feature too. Don’t want to lose keys if the pocket is accidentally unzipped. Good waterproof fabric and reinforced cuffs are important too. I like purple and/or blue ski pants

Use the heavy duty zippers too. I have a nwt3k jacket that has this thick ass zipper and I’d probably need a tool set to ever break it

I'd like a pair of pants where the cuffs have some elastic on them and hug your boots. I feel like I just move better with this style

Bib, needs kangaroo pocket and drop seat. So when you are out in bad weather you can take a shit without taking of all of your pants.

could do it with side zips instead of a drop seat so that you don't have to sit on the zippers on the lift

Big ass pockets and a lot of them, definitely one with a little hook for car keys. Also zippers that close while you zip upwards not downwards. Thigh vents too.

Ya Dude, respect at you as well as prosperity at your company. I found this site looking for ways to prevent my edges from slicing into the bottom of my pants because my breaks get stuck in them and it’s like my feet are tied together and sucks. I can’t afford new pants every few weeks and could roll em up but that sucks cause snow gets in my boots. Thought about getting rid of inside breaks, any ideas for a solution?

happy shredding at all yenz & y’all.
