its not about skiing, but its a really good book, calle Into The Wild...i cant think of the author, but u can look it up...ne ways, its about a hitchiker who tramps across the nation, and goes to alaska...he dies in alaska, but im not giving away ne thing, thats actually in the first paragraph of the book....its a true story, the aurthor finds letters and contacts from the people who he stayed with throughout the time he was hitchiking....really smart kid who just wanted ultimate freedom

another book which it is a true story is walking across the nation (i think thats the exact title, not sure), by peter jenkins....its a pretty good about a guy doing what the title is. the author is the guy who does the walking across the nation

srry that i dont know of ne ski books, but i think you'll like into the wild

There are so many interesting books not about skiing. For any extremely interesting books read, Fear and Loathing in Las Vegas or Catcher in the Rye.

^exactlly, go for good books rather then shitty books about skiing

has any one read 'long distance' by bill mckibben? its a pretty good read, true story about the author becoming a competitive cross country skier and him discovering the real meaning of endurance. i'm half way threw with it
