Ski, non ski backpacks

Im lookin to buy a backpack for school but i also want to take it skiing on the weekends (inbounds and BC) right now im looking at the tanner hall and sammy carlson team backpacks with dakine (TH http://bit.ly/Nxw9FO and SC http://bit.ly/Mg2q92 )

your opinions?

+K for help

P.S. I made this thread in non-ski gabber on accident and this is the newer one.

Look into the DLX. It has a larger front pocket for the shovel. Its also only $20 more and is higher quality

For school the Thall pack would be the better choice, however as you want to be using it for skiing, some of which may be in the backcountry (I presume that's what you meant by bc OP?) I would choose the Sammy Carlson pack. The Sammy Carlson pack has more tech features which tailor towards backcountry skiing. Moreover 20L should be more than enough for school anD it still has a laptop pocket.

Save up for two separate packs, seriously. No pack will be good for both. A good school pack will carry and ski horribly. A good ski pack won't fit books well and will get trashed pretty quickly if you're using it at school every day.

Good ski pack, cheap school pack.

Dakine Mission

I use it for school and skiing, and it is perfect in size. Its not too big like an Under Armour backpack, but not too small that you can't fit your laptop and school papers.

I highly recommend it.
