Ski movies should be released now

seriously all this competiton pre-season confuses me. 1 company should just chill back, unleash a trailer mid january, in the height of ski season and release it now. all these people will buy it, cause it's the only thing out.. it just makes sense.

Except that alot of companies are either still filming or just finished up. And unless you want a half-assed editing and production job then it would take till at least summer to put it out.

you do realize how there it takes work to edit,

and to compile all footage, ect ect ect.

it takes a long while

do you have any idea of how long it takes to make a film? here is a quote from eric iberg when asked how long he takes to edit one film "

2 and a half months...straight!"

 
it would be nice, but as has been said, it takes a really, really long time to edit it well. plus right before th season starts is a good time for movies to come out

yea it takes time to edit, and the more time they take the better the movie, i think having a movie come out before ski season starts gets everyone amped up

i agree with the person who started this thread. they wouldnt be able to do it because of editing and filming and stuff but it would be sick if they did

NOO NO i mean if they just released last year's footage mid season. it wouldn't hault this year's production work either because they would finish the film as scheduled as if they were going to release it pre-fall as usual. i know that people would be upset that it's late. but it would def. draw more attention.
