Ski Movie Music.

So this is something I have always wondered about, and my apologies if this is a duplicate thread. Ski movies are made and produced to be sold every year, and they all have music. How do companies get permission to use music? Or do they even require permission..? Anyone know how this process might work?

they do have to get permission for the music for any video they are making money off of. The way they get permission varies depending on the artist they get it from.
