keep it simple, unless your a deomon using final cut pro, dont bother trying to change much. and wach other sports movies for inspiration. moto X and skating and at the forefront of editing and crazy camera angles. also make sure you have good footage, try to film only when its sunny but dont not film something just coz its overcast you can always make it black and white to cover for the bad colour, invest in a wide angle lens and a tripod, they will make all the difference. try not to edit the footage before you have even shot it, by that i mean dont use the effects that are on your camera, they are covered in the editing software. you can always zoom in on a shot while editing but you cant zoom out, so dont zoom in too much when filming. dont always film from the ground, climb a tree or dig a hole or take a ladder to get that cool angle. get some not skiing lifestyle, like dont just shoot people standing in the lift line and use that as your lifestyle, get them at home making toast or something like that.
